Puss in Boot

Hello everyone :o)

I have to admit, I'm not very happy with today's card... It's one that my mum asked me for, for my step-sister.  Mum can be very specific about her cards - this time she wanted something girly, with a cat, and she fancied a tall thin card for a change... it's the tall thin bit that threw me I think... it's 5" x 8" and it just doesn't quite work.  Mum was happy with it though!

Items Used
5" x 8" card base - cut from white linen cardstock - Papermill Direct
Stamp - Puss in Boot - LOTV
Colouring - copics & prisma pencils
Papers - Bo Bunny Isabella - MCH
Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles dies - MCH
Spellbinders oval dies
Impression Obsession Large Bow die - MCH
Daughter - Britannia Relatives Word die set
Black resin flower - MCH

Off for a little blog catch up... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

It's absolutely gorgeous hun and you have used my favourite papers too.

Hoping Pav is feeling better today and i hope his boss was ok about it - Alan had a car accident in July and a BMW went hurtling into the back of him and the first thing he could say when he got out of the car was 'Oh good i get a new company car now' - he soon wound his neck, when Alan said he was an insurance underwriter !!!, insurance company paid up within 2 weeks.

It's always hard to make a card to exact requirements but I think you have done it brilliantly!

I know what you mean about the shape, but I think it's just because you're used to making squares more often and it's outside your comfort zone. I think it's lovely and I love the colours and image.

You are far too hard on yourself Lisa, your card is gorgeous. The image is adorable and the paper and layout are fabulous too. The Timeless Rectangles work so well with the design I think

Square cards do seen to come together easier don't they but I do love this card. The image is so sweet and the pinks, grey and black colour scheme is very striking. Love the bow.

Yes it does work but in you eyes because you're not use to working the shape it doesn't. I personally think it is fabulous, love the colour combo and the cute image.
