Large Thank You Set - Blue - Digi Stamp Boutique DT

Happy Saturday :o)

There are some gorgeous new watercolour effect sentiment sets at Digi Stamp Boutique this month, and I just couldn't resist using one for today's card...

I used the Large Thank You Set - Blue, and printed it onto linen card from Papermill Direct.  The paper is from a Craft Sensations pad - I'm getting quite into tearing paper now, go me! ;o)  It's matted onto Hunkydory mirri card and core'dinations.  I added some seam binding ribbon and made a bow for the first time in ages, something I don't usually do as I'm so rubbish at it... I do love a pretty bow though, so must push myself to do it more often!  The pearl brad is from The Hobby House.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says Wednesday - anything goes
Craft-Dee BowZ - anything goes with a handmade bow

I've got a night in with control of the remote tonight, as Pav's going out... Dex is angling to stay up with me though, so I'll probably end up watching a kids' film and eating too much chocolate lol.  Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Everybody Art GDT - flowers

Hello again :o)

I'm back with my 2nd post for today, this one is my Guest DT card for Everybody Art where our challenge is 'flowers'.... easy peasy!

I've used an adorable little mouse from Di's Digi Stamps HERE, coloured with copics (still trying to master fur!), plus a touch of Nuvo clear sparkle pen on the butterfly.  The papers are old (retired) ones from LOTV, the flowers are my favourite MFT die, with sparkly enamel dot centres.  The sentiment is a clear stamp available from Digi Stamp Boutique HERE.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Di's Digi Challenge - include an animal
Simon Says Wednesday - sparkle & shine
Cutie Pie Challenge - delightful digis
As You Like It - favourite colouring medium & why
I like to experiment with pencils, and occasionally try watercolour (Inktense/ Distress Ink) too, but Copics are my comfort zone... I'm quicker and more consistent with Copics than with other mediums.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Papercraft Challenges - CAS

Good Morning :o)

I'm here with my first of two blog posts for today... this one is for Papercraft Challenges, where our theme is CAS (clean & simple).

I try not to buy too many stamps at the moment, as I just have so many that have never been used at all... but I do have a bit of a soft spot for dragons, so couldn't resist this set from MFT called Magical Dragons.  I coloured him with copics, and added a bit of Nuvo clear sparkle pen on his wings.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set, I just shaped it into a curve on a clear block before stamping.  The stitched square and dotted circle dies are both MFT, and the enamel dots are Doodlebug.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Just Us Girls - prominently purple
Crafty Catz - anything goes + optional CAS
Seize the Birthday - birthday + optional vibrant colours

Back later with my Everybody Art GDT card... hope you have a lovely day!

Sweet Stampin' - sympathy/ thinking of you

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with my card for the latest challenge at Sweet Stampin', where our theme is 'sympathy/ thinking of you'...

I used one of the pretty new printable sheets from Digi Stamp Boutique, this one is from the Quick Print Birds sheet.  The sentiment is a clear stamp available HERE.  The papers are from a Craft Sensations pad I bought in The Range (I went in for a pack of gems to match a card I was making, as I didn't have quite the right thing... came out with 7 paper pads and some sheets for Morgan's bed lol.  Got the gems though!).  The sheer ribbon is from my stash and the cardstock is Core'dinations plus white linen card from Papermill Direct.

I soooo wanted to use my sewing machine on this card... I was so close to being brave and going for it, the bloomin' thing terrifies me though!  It's a Janome Mini and I've had it for years, used it once or twice when I first got it, but the whole thing with the threading process, the bobbins, the scary pedal, put me off and it's just been gathering dust ever since.  So I'm putting this here to try and push myself into getting over my fear very soon!

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Try it on Tuesday - nature's beauty
Unicorn Challenge - use some ribbon

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Quick Print Butterflies - Digi Stamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

For today's card I've used one of the new A4 Quick Print Butterflies from Digi Stamp Boutique.

The sheet includes 4 butterflies on lovely watercolour effect backgrounds, plus 4 sentiments, for some very quick but pretty cards.  There's a sheet of birds available HERE too.  I've  kept my card quite simple, printed the sheet on linen card and added some patterned paper scraps, a Papermania sparkly dot and an MFT die-namics leafy flourish die, cut into pieces.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Incy Wincy - nature
Make My Monday - things with wings

Dex is spending the day at his friend's house tomorrow, so I'll be able to get a bit of colouring done without the guilt!  Love the holidays, but getting things done can be a challenge.  Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Everybody Art GDT - dies

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with my Guest DT card for Everybody Art Challenge, where our theme is 'dies'.  I thought I'd go all the way and use a die instead of an image for a change...

The cats are a Penny Black die, cut 3 times from black card and two scraps of patterned paper, and then pieced back together.  The fishtail banner, 'bow' and 'button' dies are all MFT die-namics.  The sentiment is a clear stamp from Digi Stamp Boutique HERE, Doodlebug enamel dots and the green baker's twine from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies
Dragonfly Journeys - baker's twine (just a little bit!)
Simply Create Too - use die cuts
Simon Says Wednesday - happy birthday

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Sweet Stampin' - embossing

Happy Saturday :o)

I'm here with my DT card for Sweet Stampin', where our challenge is 'embossing'.

I bought this embossing folder from Craft Stash recently and hadn't had chance to play with it until now... there are loads of different designs using the same layout, and I think I might need a few more lol.  I embossed plain black card, then rubbed on some silver gilding wax (love this stuff!), embossed a piece of white card and cut and layered the curved piece from that.  The sentiment is a clear stamp from Digi Stamp Boutique HERE, the game controller is a stamp/ die from Clearly Besotted, the number dies are Crafter's Companion and the gold dome embellishments are Papermania.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Allsorts - be there or be square
Simon Says Wednesday - happy birthday
The Paper Girls - masculine birthday
Inspire.Create - masculine

Thanks for popping in, hope you're enjoying the weekend :o)

Simply Moving Home - Digi Stamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

It's the Easter holidays at the moment and Pav's off this week too, so my blog's a bit on the quiet side unfortunately... it's nice to have some time with all the family around though.

I needed a quick 'new home' card, so I've used an image from the Simply Moving Home A4 sheet from Digi Stamp Boutique.

I wanted the paper piecing to have a sort of quirky fabric look (I probably saw something on Pinterest/ Instagram that put the idea in my head...), so I've used lots of paper scraps and cut slightly outside of the lines.  The border die is Lawn Fawn, sentiment stamp is Clearly Besotted, and I added a little twine bow and some Viva Pearl dots... I still think it maybe needs 'something' but I've no idea what!

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Double D Challenges - twine
Daring Cardmakers - do something digi
Stamps + Fun = Creativity - clean & simple

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)
