Cosmos Flowers in Blue

Hello... another midweek post, I'm on a roll lol.

This one's very similar to a pink card I made recently - mum asked me for another one.  I'd actually planned on making one in purples, so started with Shaded Lilac distress ink, which appears to be totally blue here... never mind eh?!

Items Used
Stamp - Woodware Cosmos Flowers
Colouring - Distress Inks and Nuvo Aqua Shimmer (glitter pens)
Creative Dies Stencils - Leaves
Background, stenciling & colouring - Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac, Shabby Shutters & Scattered Straw
Memento Ink in Paris Dusk (for the sentiment)
Nuvo Crystal Drops in Gloss White (dots around image)
Pearls & ribbon from my stash

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says (Monday) - stencil it
Ribbon Girls - any image + ribbon
Allsorts - flower power

Also, I've just set up Instagram (at last!)... I've no idea what I'm doing with it really, but if you use it I'm on there as wishcraftcards.  Finding it a bit scary and confusing at the moment, but I don't like new things... hopefully I'll get used to it!

Thanks for popping in :o)

Mirabelle

Happy Saturday :o)

I bought Trimcraft's Mirabelle collection ages ago and then hardly used it (surprise, surprise...), but I thought Pav's mum might like it so used it to make her 'names day' card (a Polish thing).

The decoupage, papers, sentiment and pearl embellishments are all from the Mirabelle collection, the butterfly and flowers are old Prima ones and the ribbon is old stash too.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says - patterned paper
Shopping Our Stash - think pink
In The Pink - special occasion
Alphabet Challenge - H for hearts

I've been for a fairly unsuccessful shopping trip with Pav today.  One downside of losing weight is that none of my summer things fit anymore, and I have absolutely nothing dressy to go out in.  The problem is, my idea of what suited me before was anything that covered me up!  Now I'm on the small side of a UK size 14 (still hoping to end up a couple of sizes smaller - I'm only 5ft 2") and I don't have any idea what suits me, let alone what's now 'in'.  After several hours of traipsing round the shops, I came away with a pair of pink pyjamas and some navy linen trousers... not quite what I had in mind lol.

Thanks for popping in :o)

The yearly piggy card!

Hello :o)  I have a midweek post for a change, maybe I'll be back to daily posts one day, you never know!

Here's my 'yearly piggy card' - one of my mum's friends loves pigs, so I make a pig themed card for her each year (suggestions for next year's image gratefully received!).  This one's a wee bit bright, but Petunia's got her sunglasses on so she's fine lol.

Items Used
Stamp - Petunia in Love - Stamping Bella
Colouring - copics
Papers - Sunshine & Happiness - Simple Stories
Stitched frame & flower dies - MFT die-namics
Banner stamps & dies - Whimsy
Doodlebug enamel dots, twine & gems from my stash

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says - use patterned paper
Dream Valley - square cards only

Thanks for popping in :o)

Sweet Stampin' - children's birthday

Happy Saturday :o)

I really must get into the habit of blogging regularly again - I have cards to blog, but just forget to do it!  It's become a once a week thing, instead of a daily one... must try harder!!

Anyway... our challenge at Sweet Stampin' for this week is 'children's birthday', and I've no idea how I ended up with a girly one as I actually needed a card for a boy, but never mind lol.

I've used all older stash on this one, apart from the image which I just couldn't resist - she's called Helga Hippo and she's from Polkadoodles.  The papers are Forever Friends, sentiment is Paper Smooches and the die is Memory Box... image coloured with copics.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Cutie Pie Challenge - all creatures great & small
Crafty Catz - anything goes + optional spots & stripes
Polkadoodles - anything goes

Thanks for popping in :o)

60th Birthday Fancy Fold

Happy Saturday :o)

I found some photos of cards that I must have forgotten to blog... here's one that I made using Crafter's Companion goodies when I was on their DT.

It was made using the Big Score board and was nearly 12" tall, so I had to alter an A4 envelope to fit it!  Products were mostly from the Birthday Party range.  I can't remember what the fold's called, if it has a name... any ideas?

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says - make it masculine
The Male Room - off the edge
Crafty Cardmakers - for a special man/boy or Father's Day
Pile It On - fancy folds

I haven't updated on the dreaded diet thing for a while, so for anyone who's interested, I've now lost 31 lbs... slow and steady, I'm in no mad rush lol.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Sweet Stampin' - for Dads or Special Men

Hello :o)

I'm a bit late with my Sweet Stampin' DT card, as it was our 10th wedding anniversary this weekend and I just didn't manage to squeeze in blogging.  Our theme for this week is 'for Dads or special men', so I made Pav's anniversary card using a fun new stamp I bought recently...

It comes with a few different sentiments... I've just repeated the 'love you' one.  It's also huge, so I adapted a 6" square card to fit it.  Coloured with copics (badly, as one of my pens started to run out halfway through colouring!), the papers are scraps from an old My Minds Eye pad.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says - anything goes
Crafty Cardmakers - special man/ boy or Father's Day
Addicted to Stamps - animals
Crazy 4 Challenges - repeat 3 times (stamped 'love you' 3 times)

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)
