Sweet Stampin' - things that go round

Happy Saturday :o)

Our theme for this week over at Sweet Stampin' is 'things that go round' (so wheels, clocks etc), which I must admit had me stumped for a while.  I rummaged through some images and spotted this one... hula hoops go round, don't they?  Well they do if you can keep them up long enough...

Celebrate...

Hello :o)

I thought I'd never get this posted!  Blogger just wouldn't work using Chrome... got fed up watching the whirring thing (technical term lol) while it tried to load, and then gave up and tried through Explorer, seems to be working so far.  I seem to remember that I originally swapped over to Chrome because Explorer wouldn't work for Blogger though!

Anyway!  I bought some goodies from Craft Stash recently, so here's a card using some of them.  I'm really pleased with the stitched scalloped dies - they're great sizes, this one is the 3rd largest die (on a 6" square card), they'll come in very handy I think.  Every now and then I get an urge to sand down some core'dinations cardstock, and I think it works really well with embossing, especially for men's cards... I never seem to have enough male cards even though I really like making them!

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says - going dotty
The Male Room - stars
Cute Card Thursday - dies & punches
My Time to Craft - masculine

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Sweet Stampin' - cats and /or dogs

Happy Saturday :o)

Today's card is for our challenge over at Sweet Stampin', where our theme is 'cats and/ or dogs'.

Please excuse my awful colouring!  I coloured it a while ago and must have been in a rush, it looks very patchy... oh well, can't be helped now.

Items Used
Stamp - Little Claire (can't see it now, so possibly not available anymore)
Papers - LOTV (retired)
Sentiment stamp - Clearly Besotted
Flower - Wild Orchid Crafts
Flourish die - MFT
Heart Banner die - Memory Box or Poppy Stamps?

We've been out for a meal today with Pav's family... tried to choose diet friendly options, and then got talked into cheesecake lol, so now I'm very full!  I've lost 23lbs so far, so not doing too bad.

Thanks for popping in, hope you're having a lovely weekend :o)

Hello :o)

My mum asked me for a new home card, which gave me an excuse to colour this adorable Sweet Bird House image from DigiStamp Boutique.

Sentiment - Sketchy House - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - copics
Papers - Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness
Flowers - MFT Die-namics Flower & Leaf Trio

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today... in pain due to a dog walking accident yesterday.  It could only happen to me lol!  I was walking with a friend, and her dog's quite young and giddy, and getting fairly big (lab cross)... the dogs were running and playing and we were chatting.  The next thing I knew I was flat on my back!  My friend's dog had run into the back of my knees at full speed, and because I wasn't expecting it I went straight down, but my head hit the ground first.  So I appear to have a sort of whiplash injury from walking the dog lol.  It was very funny though, took us ages to be able to carry on walking because we couldn't stop laughing :o)

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening!

Sweet Stampin' - I wish I could fly...

Hello :o)

Our challenge for this week over at Sweet Stampin' is 'I wish I could fly...', which is open to interpretation I suppose, but basically things that can fly!

I've used an old Elzybells stamp that I've had for many years... I soooo miss Elzybells!

Items Used
Stamp - Elzybells (now closed)
Colouring - copics
Sentiment - WPlus9

I'm slightly dreading this week's weigh in, as I've relaxed things due to the overwhelming urge to eat Easter eggs and Pav's had the week off too which always means more food.  I suppose a week off won't hurt too much, I'll cut back again next week!  We've walked for hours most days though, so maybe I'll be lucky and that'll be enough to counteract all the excess...

Thanks for popping in, hope you're having a lovely weekend :o)

We went to see Sheffield Sharks play last night... my first basketball match (game?? lol) and I actually really enjoyed it.  I usually hate watching sport, apart from tennis (loathe and detest football!), but it was lots of fun and probably helped that they won.  It was Morgan's treat as we had a 'star of the half-term' card home from school for him... he seems quite pleased that we all enjoyed it, as it means we'll go again!

Thanks for popping in... hope you all have a fabulous Easter weekend :o)

Sweet Stampin' - mellow yellow

Hello at last!  Ooh I've got really bad at this blogging lark, haven't I?!

Today's card is for this week's challenge over at Sweet Stampin', where our challenge is 'mellow yellow'... one of my favourite colours so an easy challenge for me.

I popped up the yellow layer on foam pads with the sentiment behind it, to make a simple card a bit more interesting... but my biggest critic (Dex) said it was boring and I should add 'some beads or buttons or something'... so I did lol.

Items Used
Digi sentiment - NEW Large Brush Script Sentiments - DigiStamp Boutique
Flower - Single Daisies - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - copics
Paper - Simple Stories 'Sunshine & Happiness'
Buttons from my stash

Anyone else doing the dreaded dieting thing at the moment?  I've let the weight creep slowly on over the last few years, and keep saying I'll do something about it and never do... well I've been very determined this year, and have lost 18lbs since mid-Feb... there's a fair bit left to go though!  Lots of long walks and logging everything on My Fitness Pal - it seems to keep me on track when I can see exactly what I've eaten... oh and my Jawbone tracker (like a Fitbit) to keep me moving more.

Anyway... hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far.  Thanks for popping in :o)
