(Sort of) CAS Christening card!

Hello everyone :o)

My auntie (the one who's just a few years older than me) orders a lot of my cards, and as I've mentioned before she prefers them very CAS... this week she asked for a Christening card and I just couldn't think of anything CAS without being overly religious (knowing she wouldn't want it to be).

After googling and looking on Pinterest, I still hadn't found anything that inspired me, so this is what I ended up with - not quite as CAS as I was aiming for but ok hopefully!

Sweet Stampin' - doodles

I'm here with my DT card for Sweet Stampin', where our challenge is 'doodles'... Now, I don't doodle, I can't doodle, so I struggled with this one!  I tried all different doodles but they all looked like I'd let Dex loose on my card (perhaps I should have done!), so I resorted to adding some dots... still looks very messy to me!  We're sponsored by Crafter's Companion, Sir Stampalot, and our regular monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl, so lots of chances to win.

Less is More - coloured card blank

Hello everyone :o)

I have another DigiStamp Boutique card today, this time for the 'coloured card blank' challenge at Less is More... it's also one-layer week and I'm not great at those!...

Like my card yesterday, I opened up a solid digi paper in PagePlus, layered the image on and then added the sentiment underneath (changing the text to white before printing).  Then I sanded the colour off around the edges to leave a distressed white border.  It's dark blue, not black, in case it looks like I'm cheating for the challenge lol.

Bram's home from the vets looking very bald and sorry for himself, poor love!  He had two abscesses that both needed draining, and he's now got big holes that need bathing to keep them open... I'm not even thinking about the bill, it's too scary... sob!

Black Floral (in white!) - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

It's my day to post over on the DigiStamp Boutique blog, and I've been playing with the gorgeous Black Floral set... It's supposed to be a sympathy card for a man - what do you think?  Is it appropriate?

The images are all black, but I wanted them white so I've changed the colour in PagePlus... I started with a solid digi paper, layered the image on and made it white, then did the same with the sentiment and printed them out.  Because the digi paper is printed on white card, you can then use a sandpaper block around all the edges to take the colour off, giving a white distressed edge... I quite like this effect!

We've been back to the vets with Bram (cat) again this evening, and he's now booked in for blood tests and general anaesthetic tomorrow morning as it looks like an abscess is brewing... fingers crossed he'll be ok, poor old man.

Violet Vintage - My Crafty Heart DT

Hello everyone :o)

For today's card I've used a gorgeous Saturated Canary digi stamp, and matched her up with some lovely goodies from My Crafty Heart... I've had this one half-coloured in for weeks and finally got round to finishing her off!

Isn't she fabulous?  It's a full length image but I've just used the top part of her... and I thought she went perfectly with these papers!
