I'll be back later with my Pink Gem DT card and to announce my candy winner too!  Have a lovely day :o)

900 followers candy!

Well as I mentioned yesterday, amazingly I've now gone over 900 followers... how did that happen eh?!

As a little celebration and thank you to you all, I thought a little candy was in order.  So here it is....

Obviously this isn't the real voucher lol!  But I'll have a £20 Lili of the Valley voucher for one lucky winner :o)

This is open to followers only - new or old... and no 'candy only' blogs - I will check!  You don't need to advertise it on your blog if you don't want to, just add your blog link below.  Good luck :o)

Birthday boy

Blinkin' ink, I'm so tired!  It's Morgan's 10th birthday today and the last couple of days have been non-stop... and we've got his party at Hollywood Bowl tomorrow after school too.  Can't wait for the weekend lol!

I just thought I'd quickly pop in with the card I made for my mum to give to Morgan - I can't show ours yet, because I'm also using it for a DT card for next week.

It's just another quickie using one of those fab little pre-coloured die cut images from LOTV and some lovely Melissa Frances papers.  The image reminds me of my mum's little Jack Russell, Lily - she trails around after Morgan whenever we're there, gazing adoringly at him just like this little dog.

I'm not sure if I'll get chance to post tomorrow, but you never know!  I'll definitely be back on Saturday with a couple of posts though.  Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening :o)

Sweet Stampin' - how charming

Happy Saturday everyone :o)  I'm here with my DT card for Sweet Stampin', where our challenge for this week is 'how charming', so you just need to add a charm... sounds simple, but I hardly ever use them... I've got plenty though!  We're sponsored by Emerald Faeries who are giving our winner 2 digi stamps, and our monthly sponsor is Joanna Sheen with a £10 voucher prize.

This one's for an order - I don't know the customer, it's a friend of a friend of my mum's lol... So I'm hoping the style will be ok for them - I was just asked for something special with the couple's name on the front and 'happy anniversary' inside, so fingers crossed this will pass!  I should have made the chain shorter on the charm, but otherwise I'm fairly happy with this one.

Judo Josh - DigiStamp Boutique

Hello :o)  For today's card I've used Judo Josh from DigiStamp Boutique... I've used him before on a card for my eldest son (who does karate) for a past birthday, and this one is for Morgan's friend Oliver, who also does karate - Morgan's very impressed, and a bit jealous, that Oliver's a black belt already!

I couldn't think what to use in the centre of the wooden shape - I ended up cutting a plain circle, and used an embossing tool on the back to give it a rounded look... it's like a giant card candy, and I quite like it!

Items Used
Digi stamp - Judo/ Karate Josh - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - promarkers & flexmarkers
Papers - First Edition Noir et Chic - MCH

Buttons & wooden shape from my stash

Pink & purple cat

Today's card is one that my mum (and her hubby) asked me for - it's for my step-sister's birthday, and I know she's already got it so it's safe to blog it now :o)  Mum wanted me to use a cat image, and lots of pink and purple, and she prefers bigger cards so it's 8" square.  I'm really not happy with this one... one of those cards that just wouldn't come together!  Love this cute cat though, I haven't used her for a while.

Items Used
Digi stamp - Scruffy Kitty Kaboodle - Di's Digis
Colouring - promarkers & flexmarkers
Papers - Prima Firefly - MCH (they're beautiful, I've just used them really badly!)

Passion For Promarkers - CAS

Hello :o)  I'm here with my DT card for Passion For Promarkers, where our theme for this week is CAS cards... something I love to do so it's great for me!  Our sponsor is Joanna Sheen, who has a £10 voucher for our lucky winner.

I've used a Wellington Bear stamp to make a card for my Uncle, from my Auntie... that sounds confusing doesn't it... or it could just be me!  Most of my family are Sheffield United supporters... in fact most of the people we know seem to be too - I've never been asked to make a Sheffield Wednesday themed card!  I used a Viva Pearl pen to give Wellington 'beady' eyes :o)

Items Used
Card blank - Craftwork Cards
Stamp & 'brother' sentiment - Docrafts Wellington Bear set
Colouring - promarkers & flexmarkers
Papers - Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen - MCH
Nestabilities oval dies
Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Anthracite - MCH

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Secret Crafter - milestone birthdays
Creative Craft - anything goes
Hooked on Craft - cards for men

Dex's first full day at school seemed to go fine, although he was very tired... he's a lot more cuddly at the moment, which is nice because he's not the cuddliest of children usually.  But when I said I'd missed him while he was at school, he said he hadn't missed me!!!  Which is not so nice lol... little meanie!

Hope you all have a lovely day :o)

Keep Calm - Pink Gem Designs DT card

Morning everyone :o)  It's my turn to post on the Gems of Inspiration blog today, and as I needed a male 50th card, I've used one of the fab Keep Calm digi stamps... I love these, and I get lots of orders for them - more than I show here, because some ask for the exact same card again and there's not much point showing you them lol.  I've already been asked for another one exactly the same as this one...

Items Used
Scalloped card blank - Craftwork Cards
Digi stamp - Keep Calm and Drink Beer - Pink Gem Designs
Papers - Happy Days - Papermania
'50' sentiment - Birthday Numbers stamp set - Pink Gem Designs
'Birthday Wishes' sentiment - Stampin' Up
Memory Box Corner Bow die - MCH
MeiFlower Light Blue gems - MCH

It's Dex's first full day at school today, as he was just doing mornings last week... hopefully he'll be ok!  And I'm hoping to get all my crafty stuff done during the week while both boys are at school, so the weekends can be all about them :o)  Too many weekends lately, have ended up with me shut off in the craft room while hubby and the boys are downstairs or at the park... I need to change that!

Right, enough of my rambling, there's cards to be made!  Hope you have a lovely day :o)

A Gem of a Challenge - recipe

Hmm... well, so much for getting back yesterday with my second post... it got so late I decided to schedule it for this morning instead!  We 'popped' to Asda for a few bits - nearly 2hrs (and over £100) later, we got home and hubby announced he needed a card for his brother's birthday as he'd be seeing him tomorrow (which is now today... how confusing!), and did I have anything that would do?!  Obviously I didn't have anything suitable, so that was my evening gone!

Sooo, here's my DT card, finally, for A Gem of a Challenge, where Donna has chosen a recipe of 'lilac, lemon, 2 butterflies and a bow'.  Now you all probably know how I try to avoid recipe challenges... they're not my favourite generally!  But actually, once I got over the fact that I have hardly anything in lilac and lemon (which is quite amazing considering the amount of paper in my craft room), this one came together fairly easily...

Items Used
Card blank - on the edge scalloped - Craftwork Cards
Digi stamp - Princess Set - Pink Gem Designs
Colouring - promarkers & flexmarkers
Digi papers - Daisies, Micro Dots & Stripes - Pink Gem Designs
Memory Box Floral Vine die - MCH

Ribbon - The Ribbon Collection - MCH
Card Candy (bow centre) - Craftwork Cards
Sentiment stamp - Sentiment Tags - LOTV

Please ignore my colouring, I made a proper fluff of the purples - I obviously don't use them often enough!  Apologies if I didn't get to visit your blog yesterday, I managed some commenting but ran out of time - it's now 1am and I'm just scheduling this now... sigh!  So I'll hopefully manage to visit more of you today.  Hope you all have a lovely day :o)

Dancing Willow - My Crafty Heart DT card

Hello!  Sorry I've been a bit quiet over the last few days - it's been a very busy and tiring week.  Dex was only at school for a few hours each day, and Morgan is there all day, so I've been backwards and forwards dropping off and collecting them... not a good week for crafting or blogging!  Should be better next week though, as they'll both be doing full days then.

Anyway... for my card today I've used a lovely Whiff of Joy stamp and the gorgeous new First Edition Noir et Chic papers from My Crafty Heart.

A little bit different for me....

No cute images today!  I wanted to make something using these gorgeous new Glitz Design Cashmere Dame papers, and I thought this Stamping Bella stamp would work nicely with them.  It's from a set of 'Funky Barcode' stamps that I chose when I won a Simon Says Stamp voucher a few months ago.

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of twill ribbon, to look sort of like a garment label, but the ink bled slightly and it's irritating me... so I might end up changing it!

Items Used
Stamping Bella - Funky Barcodes set - Simon Says Stamp
Glitz Design - Cashmere Dame papers - MCH
Sentiment stamp - Stampin' Up
Oval Nestabilities
Memory Box - Whimsical Flourish die - MCH

Here's a pic of my little schoolboy Dex, as promised yesterday :o)

He's not as worried as he looks - just not keen on having his photo taken... bit like me then!  And they've all got name labels on this week while their teacher gets to know them... just in case you thought I'd labelled him myself lol.

Hope you have a lovely evening :o)

I've used one of the very cute new fairies from DigiStamp Boutique for today's card - I love that she's walking a ladybird :o)

Fairy Tale Challenge - something metal (silver spacer)
The Squirrel & The Fox - anything goes
Pile It On - patterned paper
No Matter Which - die cuts/ punches
Joanna Sheen Challenge - going dotty
DYSU - birthdays

I'm a bit miffed that the ink from the new printer seems to smudge slightly :o(  Just hoping that when we change the ink for compatibles I won't have that problem - fingers crossed!

Today was Dex's first morning at school!  He only goes for a few hours each morning this week, then next week he'll be there full days.  I had a bit of a wobble when he was all dressed in his uniform - he just looks so teeny and cute, and very proud of himself!  He went into the classroom quite happily and he was still smiling when I picked him up :o)  I'd show you a photo, but hubby was in charge of the camera this morning and the pics aren't the best lol... I'll try and get better ones tomorrow!  Have a lovely evening :o)

Sweet Stampin' - white on white

**My second post for today - if you popped in for the Sugar Nellie hop, click here or scroll down**

I'm back with my DT card for Sweet Stampin', where our challenge this week is 'white on white' or WoW.  We have 2 sponsors for this week - Letraset and our lovely teamie Natali's store Iva Nova Chest, and also our monthly sponsor Joanna Sheen.

Now, do you remember me saying the other day, how happy I was on all my teams and how I loved every minute in the craft room... well that doesn't apply to this card lol!  I love WoW cards when other people make them, but I really am hopeless at them.

Items Used
Pearlised card - Papermill Direct
Kanban tree stamp from the 'Spring Garden' set, embossed in Detail Silver
Sentiment stamp from the 'Just To Say' set - LOTV
Cuttlebug embossing folder called Jules Jewels (possibly!)
Memory Box Whimsical Flourish die - MCH
Memory Box Macarena Corner die - MCH
Mesh butterfly - MCH
Nestabilities ovals & Go Kreate circle dies

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far.  It's been hot in Sheffield - too hot for me, I just end up really sleepy!  Feels like it's cooling off a bit now though, so hopefully I can manage not to nod off.  Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Sugar Nellie - Sparkle & Shine release day!

Good morning :o)  Today we're having a little Sugar Nellie hop to show you the six gorgeous new Christmas digi stamps that will be available at Funky Kits from 9am this morning!

Hopefully you arrived here from Pat's fabulous blog, but if not please pop over to Sugar Nellie so you don't miss anyone's lovely creations - and the chance to win some fab Sugar Nellie candy of course!

This gorgeous image is called Forest Friends - such a pretty little scene, isn't it?  You wouldn't believe the disasters I've had trying to get this little cutie coloured in though!  First off, the printer broke while I was trying to print her out... so we bought a new printer.  And then the first one I coloured was almost done when a red flexmarker decided to blot a huge puddle of ink all over her hat.  Even this one has a smudge of black ink that I had to cover up!  It's a relief just to have a finished card to show you lol!

Items Used
Sugar Nellie 'Forest Friends' digi stamp - Funky Kits
Coloured with promarkers & flexmarkers
My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland papers - MCH
My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland buttons (spotty button & the 2 button banners) - MCH

Snowflake twill ribbon - Fantastic Ribbons

Your next stop is the super talented Mina with her gorgeous card to show you... don't forget to leave comments along the way - always lots of hidden candy on a Sugar Nellie hop!

I'll be back later with my Sweet Stampin' DT card, hope you have a lovely day :o)

Waste Not Wednesdays winners

You might remember from my last Waste Not Wednesdays challenge, that I said I'd have 2 prizes - a £5 gift voucher provided by the lovely Sally-Ann at DigiStamp Boutique, and a surprise one from me.  So I need to announce the 2 winners, and they are...

I'm sorry to say I've made the decision to put Waste Not Wednesdays on hold for now... I've got plenty of DT creations to keep me busy at the moment, and I'm not complaining at all - I'm sooo happy with all the teams I'm on, and I'm loving every minute in the craft room!  But I can't fit WNW in with everything else, so for now the challenges are closed... maybe I'll pick it up again eventually - we'll see!  Thanks to everyone who's joined in, I've really appreciated you all playing along with me xxx

If you popped in to see a card, please scroll down to my post from this morning!  Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Passion for Promarkers - lace & swirls... and my fab news!

Well, today's off to a very disorganised start - took Morgan to school for his first day back, to find the gates locked and no one there... Came home, checked the last newsletter and found the bit that says they go back tomorrow... umm, oops?!  So we get to do the 'first day back' thing all over again tomorrow lol.

Anyway... I'm here to show you my DT card for this week's challenge at Passion For Promarkers, which is 'lace & swirls'.  We're sponsored by Letraset, who have a new Promarker Collector's Set for one lucky winner.

I've used the gorgeous Fifi Goes Walkies from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits, and coloured her with promarkers and flexmarkers.  The papers are First Edition Summer Breeze, and I've used a Cheery Lynn flourish die, Memory Box cherry blossom die and an MFT corner die.  Added some lace, ribbon, button and pearls from my stash, and the sentiment is from a set of tag stamps - not sure what make they are though.

Now I said I had some fab news didn't I?!  I'm thrilled to at last be able to share a little secret - the lovely Teresa asked me to join her fabulous team at My Craft Heart and of course I said yes :o)  So excited, and I'm already enjoying working with Teresa's gorgeous goodies - I'll be back tomorrow with an 'official' MCH DT card!

Thank you to everyone who left me printer advice yesterday, you're all so helpful!  The Kodak sounded good, but I'm afraid it'd drive me mad if the red didn't print properly.  We've decided on a Canon, but I've got to wait until tomorrow evening to get it - fingers crossed it'll do everything I need it to!  Hope you all have a lovely day :o)
