Cute cats

I've been keeping myself busy with lots of DT stuff today, because it was Dex's first official day at nursery... eeek!!!  I hardly slept at all last night and I've been a nervous wreck all day - pathetic really, isn't it?!  Dex was fine, he's had loads of fun but was really tired and nodded off on the sofa when we got home!

Most of my cards I've made today can't actually be shown yet, but I did make this one using the Little Claire Cat in a Box stamp...

No colouring on this one, because I thought it looked nice stamped in Rich Cocoa memento ink onto one of the plain blue sheets from the GCD 'ella blue' pad.  I've just added some pearls from my stash, and a ribbon that I cut out of some new pyjamas!  Well, it was the right colour :o)

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:
Nursery again tomorrow for Dex, so hopefully I'll get lots done and will try not to worry so much about him now I know he's enjoying it!

Hi Lisa, lovely card, it is hard not to worry, he is your baby but it does sound as though he is enjoying himself. You will soon find ways to fill the time he is at nursery and find it difficult to remember what is was like before.

I'm glad Dexter had a good first official day at nursery. I hope you get a better nights sleep tonight too.

I think this card is great, I adore cats and the images are just perfect. I really like the papers you've used too, simple but really effective.

Take care

The monochromatic effect is really great on your card, and I can't wait to see what you have come up with using the other new sets! As for Dex, I am sure he had a wail of a time and you will soon be able to relax and enjoy some free time!

Hi Lisa, your card is very elegant. The images are brilliant and to colour you've used (ink and papers) set it off lovely. Glad little one had a good official first day at Nursery. I cried the first day I left my daughter at the childminders, she was only 11 mths old, times move on she is now nearly 4 goes to Nursery and loves it! I'm the one who has suffered with nerves! Oh Lisa, this is gorgeous, I love the colours you've used and the no colour thing, it looks very good.
I wrote an envelope with your name on today. This is an important move and means I won't forget. So long as no one puts anything on top of it! ;)

What a lovely card... very effective! Glad your son had fun... all these things are harder for Mummy when children start new things... I didn't feel it with my daughter so much because I had my son still at home (there's only 18 months between my two), but when my son started too, I was like a lost lamb!!!!
