A card for Daniel

Ooh I'm running a bit late tonight... been watching something with hubby and lost track of time!  This is my card for Daniel - you can read about him here but I've left it right until the last minute for posting his card, for some reason I thought I had until at least Monday to make it but realised today that his birthday is on Sunday.... fingers crossed he'll get it in time!

I've used one of the older images from Digistamp Boutique - this is Harold, he looks a bit like he's going to run off with that cake doesn't he?  I've coloured him with promarkers with a bit of 'glow' using koh-i-noor pencils blended with sansador.  The papers are K&Co, with coredinations cardstock - I used white ink around the edges of the blue card and blue ink on all the paper edges, because it was looking a bit too 'young' as it was.  Stars cut with nesties, buttons from stash, and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.  Hope it'll be ok for him Claire :o)

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:
Had a cute son moment today.... I've been a bit low this week, it happens occasionally - I have those days where I seem to cry over nothing, but I'm loathe to see the doc about it because they seem to have been waiting for me to ask for anti-d's ever since we lost Harvey... it'll never happen because I'm totally incapable of admitting I might not be coping perfectly!  So I manage with my occasional sad day.  Anyway, back to the point... my 8yr old son must have heard me telling hubby that I'd been crying over nothing, and today while we were in the car he piped up with 'Mummy... I sometimes cry for no reason too, it's ok... I think it's just the cold air...'  Bless him, love my boys :o)

You are soooooo my go to girl for cutie pie male cards Lisa! I ADORE this card ♥

I know that you are coping 'perfectly' but just so you know... I've been on anti-d's for years cuz something's broke in me... I am not ashamed as it's just as important that I take them along with my thyroid which is also broke lol!!!

This is the day the LORD has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it : )

Love you, Lisa!

Oh Lisa, wonderful cute card.
I think its healthy that you know you having a sad day and crying stops you from bottling up and release pent up emotion that if you do hold back in the the long run you may end up with those anti-d. Hope you feel a little more upbeat today.
luv

Love the colours so vibrant. Im sure Daniel will love it no matter what day it arrives.
Sending buge big hugs your way, I cant begin imagine how it must have been and still is for you.
I was on tablets for a diffrent reason - but was still broken all the same! I found fighting the bad days just made it worse, so I just went with them! It's defo healthy that you can recognise them. You wont have failed if you go on the tablets, there not forever, and you will probably be surprised how common it is to be on them (I was), all be it everyone has there reason. I was really consious about going on them and worried about what people would say but then I decided I wanted to get better (my situation different to yours).
I'm off them now, and better but still recognise the good day which I love, and the bad days which now thankfully are the minority!
I hope this reads right and comes accross in the way it is intended.

This is adorable! I love the colors and the card design, and Harold is really cute!

Prayers for you. I know how hard it is to admit you are not coping. I lost my younger brother this summer - he was murdered - and there are days when all I do is cry. You are not alone. In blog land are many "sisters" for you to lean on!

Precious card. The colors are gorgeous! Thank you for joining us this week at Sentimental Sundays!

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, and I do understand as I lost my son in 2005. Do not be afraid to accept help. Those tearful moments will come---and that's okay, too.

Gorgeous card - love the colours.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you. We lost a baby who should be turning two later this month. The sad days never go away completely but the time between them does seem to get longer.

Extra special love 'n' hugs, Mel xx
