Sketchy Get Well set - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

I've been playing with a new set from DigiStamp Boutique today... well actually, they've been on my desk for days, but hubby's got this week off and I've not had chance to do much with Pav around as well as the kids lol.

You probably can't tell, due to my rubbish photography skills, but I used my scoreboard to emboss a border above and below the sentiment, so the image isn't actually 'floating' as it appears to be!  The scalloped frame dies arrived in the post today... been eyeing those up on everyone's blogs since my return, and just couldn't wait to use them.

Edit... added a badly lit extra photo that does show the embossed lines lol!

Items Used
NEW Sketchy Get Well set - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - copics, plus Wink of Stella
Doodlebug sequins & enamel dots

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Bluebell 1st Birthday

Happy Easter... hope you've had a lovely day :o)  Have you overdone it on the chocolate?  I haven't... but I'm sure I will do this evening lol!

I'm finally settling in at my new colouring desk in the craft room... it's taken a while to get going again, but I really enjoyed colouring this little cutie.

The stamp is a Bluebell one from Wild Rose Studio, but I'm not sure of the exact name as it seems to have been discontinued... which just shows how long I must have had it, and it's never been inked before!

Items Used
Stamp - Wild Rose Studio
Colouring - copics
Papers - Doodlebug 'Sugar Shoppe'
Flower & leaf dies - MFT blueprints 14
Number 1 - MFT by the numbers die

I'm entering my card for the following challenges

Penny Black & More - feature a creature
Let's Colour Linky Party - anything goes with something coloured
Fan-tastic Tuesday - anything goes/ cute critters

Delicate butterflies...

Hello everyone :o)

One of the problems I'm finding now the craft room's all sorted and I can make things again... is that there's just too much choice!  All my crafty stash is organised and accessible, I've found loads of things I'd forgotten ever owning, plus I dropped all my store DTs last year except for DigiStamp Boutique.  So whereas before I'd plan my days around what I 'had' to make, now I can use anything, and I tend to sit looking at it all with no clue what to make!

So I had a look for some challenge inspiration, and spotted one at Addicted to CAS, where their code word is 'delicate'.  A good challenge for me, as my usual style is quite bright and bold.

I thought the combination of butterflies, vellum and pastels worked as a 'delicate' design... might have to make another version in bold colours though!

Items Used
MFT blueprints 13 (for the stitched base)
Tri-square die - Simon Says Stamp
Memory Box butterfly die
Doodlebug spotty vellum & sequins
Paper Smooches sentiment stamp
(stamped in Memento Ink in Espresso Truffle)

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Outside your window...

Hello everyone :o)

I don't have quite as much time for crafting as I'd like this week, as the boys are off school for the Easter holidays, but I managed to squeeze in a card for Less is More.  Their challenge is 'what's outside your window'... now, if I'm perfectly honest, from my craft room window I have a view of weeds and a lawn full of holes (Chester does like a good digging session).  I'm no gardener and neither is Pav!

So this is a prettied up version of the weeds... well they did say we could use our imagination ;o)

I've had a play with a pack of the new Tim Holtz distress crayons to make a watercolour background... just scribbling them on my craft mat and using a waterbrush to pick up the colour.  I'm totally out of touch with all the new 'must-haves', as I haven't bought anything really in the last year, but I fancied trying these.

Items Used
Stamp - Taylored Expressions 'Discover Your Wings'
(embossed with white detail embossing powder)
Sentiment stamp - Stampin' Up
(stamped in Memento Ink in Lilac Posies)
Doodlebug Sequins

Off to my mum's this evening for fish & chips... yum!

Thanks for popping in, hope you all have a lovely evening :o)
