I think our cats are trying to drive me mad... yesterday Boris was sick on Dex's lego board (those flat pieces that you build on) - very unpleasant to clean up!  And then, when I was on my way to bed, Bram tripped me up, my phone went flying and landed in the cats' water bowl... of all the places it could have landed!  So it's been taken apart and left overnight, but I think it might have survived... phew!

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Love You Dearly - Craft Mojo DT

Hello everyone, hope you've had a fab weekend :o)

I'm here with this week's Craft Mojo DT card, using some lovely new (to me) goodies...

I have a bit of a weakness for sentiment stamps, and Paper Smooches sets are my favourites... the fonts are fab, the sentiments are fun and they stamp perfectly... love 'em!  I'm not too keen on my card, but you wouldn't believe how long it took to get this very simple card together - it was one of those days!

We had a great time yesterday at the craft show in Leigh, but I forgot to take a photo of my new goodies before I put them away!  It was lovely to meet Sally from Craft Mojo, Rebecca (Melly Moo) and Jen Nelson (Tiny Blue Butterfly) in 'real life' at last.  Dex came with us, and is proving to be just as bad as me as he chose quite a few bits for his craft box - his weakness is sparkly things!  Some of the stallholders were really lovely to him, and he ended up being given quite a few things... he can't wait to go again lol!

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Bags of Fashion Morgan - Sugar Nellie DT

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with my Sugar Nellie DT card, using one of the fab Bags of Fashion stamps...

I know that for most of you, it's male cards that are the trickiest to make... for me, it's teenage girls!  I'm never completely sure which images are too childish, and which ones are too grown up, but the Bags of Fashion stamps are perfect (at least, I think they are).  I've used two stitched rectangles from MFT Blueprints 13 to make the white square mat - 1 full rectangle and a chopped down piece, with the join covered up with patterned paper.

Items Used
White linen card - Papermill Direct
Stamp - Sugar Nellie BOF Morgan - Funky Kits
Colouring - copics
Sentiment stamp - LOTV
Papers - Doodlebug Springtime - Craft Mojo
MFT Die-namics Blueprints 13 - Craft Mojo
Doodlebug Textured Cardstock Assortment - Craft Mojo
Doodlebug Enamel Sprinkles in Tangerine & Limeade - Craft Mojo

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says - happy birthday
4 Crafty Chicks - colour a stamped image
Delightful - hip to be square
Stampin' for the Weekend - spring colours
Fan-tastic Tuesday - use a patterned paper

I'm off to my friend's house now for coffee, cake and a catch up, but will be round later to visit your blogs... Ooh, and I've managed to talk hubby into driving me to Leigh for the craft show tomorrow (I don't drive far if I can avoid it)!  We'll just be there for a couple of hours in the afternoon, as Pav's working in the morning... Are any of you going?  Say hello if you see me!

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Less is More - round & round

** This is my 2nd post for today - please scroll down for my Crafty Little Fairies DT card **

Hello... I'm back with another card, as I found a bit of spare time to make one for this week's Less is More challenge, which is 'round & round'.

I love this circle die, which is included in the MFT Blueprints 12 set, because it cuts the inner stitched circle, but also adds stitching outside the circle.  I stuck the two pieces onto another piece of card to keep them in place, then stamped the flowers and sentiment... nice and easy!

Items Used
White linen card - Papermill Direct
Stamps - Dandelion Dreams - Clearly Besotted Stamps
MFT Die-namics Blueprints 12 & 13
Memento Inks in Rose Bud, Tangelo & Canteloupe
Stems stamped in Memento Grey Flannel (but should be a bit lighter I think!)
Gems from my stash

I'm also entering my card for the following challenges
Cards in Envy - anything goes with an A2 card
CAS on Sunday - stitched faux or real (does die cut stitching count?)

Off for a little catch up with some of your blogs... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Crafty Little Fairies - vintage/ shabby chic

Hello everyone :o)

So... this week's challenge at Crafty Little Fairies is vintage or shabby chic, which is about as far away from my natural style as it's possible to get!  We're sponsored by The Ribbon Girl with a voucher for our lucky winner.

Here's my attempt at shabby chic...

It's fun to make something different occasionally, but I find it really hard using paler colours and all those flowers too... I have a huge tub of flowers, but I've no idea why because I very rarely use them!

Items Used
Stamp - Love Birds - LOTV
Colouring - copics
Papers - Timeless Victorian - LOTV
Sentiment Stamp - LOTV
Grand Nestabilities Labels 1
Memory Box bird cage die
Woodware leaf punch
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts & The Hobby House
Seam Binding - Craft Mojo
Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Fussy & Fancy - shabby chic
Allsorts - use those dies
Craft Your Passion - shaped cards
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Penny's Challenge - feathered friends
Pile it On - floral fantasy

I've got Dex off school again... sigh!  We got all the way to his classroom door, but he suddenly went pale and said he felt sick... he didn't even get his coat off, the teacher agreed I might as well take him straight back home.  There are so many tummy bugs going round at school at the moment!  He's snuggled up under his duvet on the sofa now, watching Toy Story 3.

Might be back later with another card... Hope you all have a lovely day :o)
