Waste Not Wednesdays wk25

It's Waste Not Wednesdays time again, and it's prize week :o)  For the first challenge each month the fabby Sally-Ann at DigiStamp Boutique provides a £5 voucher for one random lucky winner... so get using your neglected or unused stamps and stash for a chance to win some gorgeous images!

I've used one of the older images from DigiStamp Boutique - this is Snoozing Chap (with beer)... I must admit that I'm cheating a bit, because although it's an 'old' image in the shop, it's actually new for me - I thought I'd got it, but when I looked I hadn't!  So to make up for my little cheat, I've used some very old papers - I'm not even sure what they are, Papermania maybe?  The blue and green cardstock are all scrap pieces of core'dinations, the stars were cut with nesties and the spotty buttons are from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

Did you watch the tennis?  Such a fab match and yay, Andy Murray's through to the Wimbledon semi-finals!  So I'm a bit late posting tonight, because the tennis sort of got in the way lol.  Tomorrow hubby's got the day off and we're off to the cinema in the morning while the kids are at school & nursery - hubby's choice, and he's booked to see Spiderman on the new IMAX screen... can't say it's my sort of thing, but I'm curious to see what the IMAX is like.  Hopefully I'll still find time to blog a card tomorrow too though, I've got Morgan's 'girlfriend's' card to finish off ready for her party on Friday - Morgan's rejected every girlie card in my box and has chosen the stamp he wants, bossy thing!  Hope you're all having a lovely evening :o)

Thank you teacher

There are some gorgeous new images at Digi Stamp Boutique that are perfect for teacher thank you cards.  I've used the lovely Louie and Apple to make Morgan's card for his teacher...

I've coloured Louie with promarkers, and I was very happy to at last find a colour combo that works for me for colouring bears!  I actually like how my bear turned out for a change :o)  You might not like it, but if you want to try it the colours are - Raw Sienna, Mustard, Pastel Yellow and Vanilla (on Elegance Satin card from Joanna Sheen).  I spent all morning trying different colour combos out and it's really quite sad how excited I was when I finally got it lol!

The papers are Cosmo Cricket, with black and red cardstock from Papermill Direct.  The flower is my usual Memory Box cherry blossom die, with a pearl brad centre.  The corner was cut with a Whimsy die, the buttons and red pearl are from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

I've not really done anything to tell you about today - I've been waiting in for hubby's new monitor to be delivered... it's his birthday in a couple of weeks and that's what he's chosen as his 'big' prezzie, and he now owes me something big for my birthday lol.  Hope you've had a lovely day, will be round to do some catching up later :o)

Chloe - The Stamp Basket DT

It's my day to post on The Stamp Basket blog, and I've used a gorgeous Whimsy stamp for today's card.  She's called Chloe and she's so lovely to colour...

Items available from The Stamp Basket

I've coloured the lovely Chloe with promarkers and flexmarkers, used Prisma pencils for the grass, and added Viva pearl dots around her.  The flower was cut with the Memory Box cherry blossom die (yes, again  - sorry!), butterflies cut with Kars punches, the sentiment is LOTV, and everything else is from The Stamp Basket.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

Sorry for the rushed post - off to catch up on some commenting while I've got a spare half hour!  Have a lovely evening :o)

A little Cherry Cupcake

I couldn't resist the new little fairies from Sugar Nellie - ordered them when they were released on Friday and they arrived yesterday, yay :o)  I thought I'd get one coloured and used Fiona's fab sketch at The Sugar Bowl...

This little cutie is Cherry Cupcake and I've coloured her with promarkers and flexmarkers, with glamour dust for some essential sparkle on her wings and Viva pearl dots around her.  The papers are MME lime twist with dark brown cardstock from Papermill Direct.  The sentiment is Pink Petticoat, flowers were cut with an MFT die and the pearls are from my stash.

Our shopping trip was a bit rubbish yesterday - I'm just terrible at clothes shopping!  I managed to buy 2 tops for myself, couldn't find anything else I liked so we bought a few tops and books for the kids instead... oops... So I'll have to try somewhere different next week!  Hope you've all had a lovely weekend :o)

Sweet Stampin' - scallops

We have a nice easy challenge for this week at Sweet Stampin' - scallops... we've all got something with scallops, right?  We're sponsored by Crafts & Me who are offering one lucky winner 3 digi stamps, and our monthly sponsor is Joanna Sheen with a £10 voucher prize.

Crafts & Me did kindly give the DT some images to use, but as I'd had this one for ages and never used her, I thought I'd get her coloured in at last.  This is Deevonne and she's coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers.  The papers are from the fabulously named Let Them Eat Cake set from Raspberry Rd, printed onto linen card.  The scalloped rectangle is a Nellie Snellen die, corner is a Whimsy die and the flower is my current obsession - the Memory Box cherry blossom die.  Ribbon and lace from The Stamp Basket.  I added a silver spacer and large pearl centre to the flower.  Sentiment is Stampin' Up.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

I'm hoping to drag hubby out to do a bit of clothes shopping today... well actually we'll be dragging each other because we both hate shopping for clothes lol.  I really need some new stuff though, my summer tops are all looking a bit tired - probably because I wear them all year round and just throw a cardigan over the top in the winter... I don't really feel the cold!  Anyway, enough waffling - hope you all have a fabulous weekend whatever you've got planned :o)

Elzybells bear

Here's a card I made at the weekend - it's one that my mum asked me for, for my step-sister's boyfriend who's a mechanic...

It's more or less A5 sized, although I did make it slightly wider and slightly less tall, just because I prefer it that way.  The little mechanic bear is from Elzybells (no longer trading), coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers.  The papers are digi ones from Raspberry Rd, printed onto linen card.  Sentiment is computer generated, the '21' was cut with sizzix 'night & day' alphabet dies.  Corners cut with a Whimsy die, black pearls from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

It's soooo hot this evening, you'd never know we had thunder storms all afternoon!  It's bright sunshine now and the boys are still playing outside... must drag them in for a bath soon though.  Ooh and Andy Murray's through to the 3rd round at Wimbledon, so far so good!  Hope you all have a lovely evening, will be round to do some commenting later :o)

Waste Not Wednesdays wk24

Yay, as I'm more or less fully fit now, I can get back to my Waste Not Wednesdays makes :o)  Feel free to join in using anything unused or neglected, just for fun this week.  Here's my previously un-inked cutie for today...

This is Hazel & Nutty from Sugar Nellie - must be out of stock because I can't see it on the Funky Kits site at the moment.  Aww I think they're so sweet :o)  I've coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers, adding heaps of glamour dust - well, isn't it the law that fairies must be sparkly?  I added my little Viva pearl dots around the image too.

The paper is a double sided sheet that I found in a drawer, it must have been there for a couple of years - it's by Daisy Bucket.  The flower was cut with my current favourite cherry blossom die by Memory Box, with an ancient silver spacer in the centre... I'm hoping this will be enough to qualify for the 'something metal' challenge on the Sugar Nellie facebook page!  The sentiment and leaf die are both Stampin' Up, pearls from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

It's too hot for me today, but I'm sure most of you normal people have been enjoying it... If we could just have lovely fresh spring days all year round, I'd be very happy indeed!  Hope you have a lovely evening :o)
