Purple Wildflowers

Hello :o)

I had a quick play with a couple of MFT stamp sets today... I've probably had the wildflowers one for a couple of years and don't think I've ever used it.  I'm trying to be a bit better at inking up my unused stamps, I have so many of them it seems silly to keep buying more (that won't stop me though!).

Items Used
MFT Grand Peaceful Wildflowers
MFT Watercolour Backdrops
Memento Inks - Lulu Lavender, Sweet Plum, Elderberry
Doodlebug sequins

Dex was off school poorly today, although his symptoms were quite vague (it hurts here, here and here, and when I lean over...) and he was bored by mid-morning, so I think he might have tricked me lol... little monkey.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Colouring - copics
(skateboard also from the paper pad)
Sentiment - Paper Smooches
(stamped in Memento Ink in Espresso Truffle)
Button & twine from my stash

Sentiments Bundle - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

For today's cards I've used the new Sentiments Bundle from DigiStamp Boutique, with this week's Less is More challenge (1 layer, geometric shapes or patterns) in mind.

They look simple don't they?... hmmm!

The amount of binned versions of these cards... ooh they did make me say some naughty words!  Smudged stamping, stray blobs of distress ink... one layer cards are so hard, because you can't get away with anything!

Anyway, these were eventually done by turning the sentiments diagonally in Word, then stamping the borders, then cutting a hexagon background die and using that as a stencil to ink through.

Items Used
NEW Sentiments Bundle - Everyday - DigiStamp Boutique
Kelly Panacci border stamps (very old and hardly used)
Hexagon die (unknown make)
Distress Inks in Festive Berries & Ripe Persimmon, Peacock Feathers & Cracked Pistachio

Do any of you sell on Folksy?  I've just started setting up a shop, although I haven't actually put anything in it yet.  Is it easy to use, and are you getting sales?

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely day :o)

Hello everyone :o)

(stamped in Memento Ink in Sweet Plum)

Paper Piecing - Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone :o)

I'm here with my DT card for Sweet Stampin', where our challenge is 'paper piecing'.  We're sponsored by Crafts & Me this week.

I've used one of the new stamps from LOTV, as that tablecloth looked ideal for a bit of paper piecing.  I used one of the plainer papers but added some detail with a cheesecloth background stamp.

Items Used
Stamp - Jasmine Coffee - LOTV
Colouring - copics
Papers - Simple Stories - So Fancy
Sentiment stamp - CC Designs
MFT Cheesecloth background stamp
Corner die - Xcut maybe?  Not sure!
Doodlebug enamel dots

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Less is More - not white

Hello everyone :o)

Ok, so I'm aware that this one's a bit on the deadly dull side!  It's for this week's challenge at Less is More, which is 'white space but not white'... I made it early in the week and hoped to make another one, but I've been busy making other things that I can't share yet.  So this one will just have to do!

I've got quite a bit of core'dinations in this colour for some reason... not quite lilac, not quite grey... somewhere in between?  The butterfly embossing folder is another sneaky new purchase, and I just sanded the card back a bit and then added the sentiment.

Items Used
Core'dinations cardstock in 'dusk'
Clearly Besotted sentiment stamp
(stamped in Memento Ink in Elderberry)

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Imogen - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

The boys are back at school now, so hopefully I can get back to crafting again... running a bit late today though as we've been doing the coffee and cake thing at a friend's house!

For today's card I've used an older image called 'Imogen' from the Besties set from DigiStamp Boutique.

Items Used
Colouring - copics & Wink of Stella (clear)
(sentiment also from paper pad)
Bow die - MFT blueprints 3
Button from my stash

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)
