Getting back into Less is More...

Morning everyone :o)

This year I want to get back into playing along at Less is More - I used to join in every single week but got out of the habit.  As I really need to make some batches of simple cards now (assuming my cards actually sell in the gift shop, fingers crossed...), I'm putting LIM on my weekly 'to do' list again!

This week Chrissie and Jen would like to see black & white with just a touch of another colour...

I made a batch of these in different colours, and for a few different occasions, but I think this blue version is my favourite so I won't bore you with all the others!

It was Dex's birthday yesterday, and he had a great day - although he was amazed he still had to go to school lol... he was fine once he got there though, especially as they're allowed to take cakes in for all the class.  We had a bit of a tea party for him at my mum's so I didn't get chance to blog yesterday - hoping to catch up with lots of you later.  Hope you all have a lovely day :o)

Without Words - Baby it's cold outside!

Morning everyone :o)

I'm here with my DT card for Without Words, where our challenge is 'Baby, it's cold outside!'... so we'd like to see lots of snow, but remember to keep it CAS - sentiments are fine, just not many embellishments (or none at all).  We're sponsored by the fabulous Quixotic Paperie, with a £10 voucher for our lucky winner.

Now, I got a bit confused and for some unknown reason I thought I'd already made my card for this challenge... by the time I realised I hadn't there wasn't much time - oops!  So I used an image that I coloured before Christmas, added a bit of glitter 'snow' and used some snowy papers...

This has to be a first for me - a Christmas card already made in January lol!

I've used Annabel for my card - she's so lovely, but they all are!  I'll be getting them all coloured very soon... they're a great way to practise your colouring if you're not sure where the shading should go - they're already shaded for you, which really speeds things up.

Gardening mice

Hello everyone :o)

Well, at the risk of sounding like an old misery, I'm quite pleased that Christmas and New Year are over for another year!  It's lovely to be back to making non-Christmas stuff again, and getting everything back to normal.  I'm still trying to catch up with DT makes, orders, and sorting cards out to take into the gift shop, and it's Dex's birthday next week (and then mine the week after!), so I'm just as busy as I was before Christmas really lol.
