Shabby chic puppy!

Hello everyone :o)

Today's card is for an order, although I have a horrible feeling it's going to turn out to be a bit of a controversial card!

One of Pav's workmates asked for this one for his girlfriend... she likes shabby chic style and he wanted a labrador puppy on it.  Shabby chic is about as far from my natural style as it's possible to get but I've had a good go!  Anyway... I asked Pav if they've got a labrador... he said no, but she really wants one... so I just assumed it was going to be a lovely surprise for her that they were getting one.  Ahh!  Today I was asking Pav about it, and apparently there are no plans to get a puppy... ermm, I'm thinking this card might not go down very well!

The labrador is from an old Joanna Sheen CD, papers are LOTV and the bow dies are Memory Box.

MFT Poinsettia - Craft Mojo DT

I'm here with my Craft Mojo DT card, using some fab MFT goodies, including the gorgeous poinsettia die that I treated myself to recently... I've wanted a poinsettia die for ages, and this one is lovely.

I started this one for a customer who asked for a gold & silver theme, but I don't think it's quite what he was after, so I'll have to have another go!

Everyone's been struck down with Dexter's tummy bug in our house... except me, so far!  I'm just waiting for it to catch up with me.  Dex wasn't poorly for long though, so it's a fairly short-lived bug... I'd still rather not get it though!

Christmas Tree Cutout - Craft Mojo DT

Hello everyone :o)

Here's today's card using some fab MFT dies and Doodlebug goodies from Craft Mojo... love this tree!

I cut the tree cut-out in plain card, and then cut it again from patterned paper, and pieced it back together... I didn't intend to, I was going to place a different colour behind the cut-out, but I just can't seem to resist piecing things together like this, so I just went with it!

Sooo, the scan... well it didn't happen!  Last night, about 1am, there was that ominous call of "Mummmeeeeeee" from Dex, which you just know means "I'm about to be sick!"... followed by the sound of him being sick... sigh!  It went on for hours, and we were all like zombies this morning.  The scan's now been rearranged for next Thursday... never mind!!

Sooo... tomorrow is my dreaded scan.  Hopefully everything will be ok, and then we can just get on with being excited about the puppy.  Fingers crossed eh?

On the nice list - Craft Mojo DT

I've used some fab MFT goodies for today's Craft Mojo DT card... I really love this stamp set, the Santas are so cute!  Unfortunately it's out of stock at the moment, but hopefully Sally will have more in soon.

The sentiment stamp is actually all on one line, but I masked it (with a post it note) and stamped part underneath, as it worked better for the card.

I don't think I've mentioned puppies on my blog yet, although everyone around me has had to put up with me going on and on endlessly about them!  Me and the boys finally talked hubby into getting one... 'our' puppy and his litter mates have now been born, in 3wks we go to pick him out, and in 7wks we'll be bringing him home.  We decided on a cockapoo... they're very happy friendly dogs and should be good with the kids... eeeek, I can't wait!!

Monster Christmas - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Firstly, thanks so much for all your lovely comments and messages... my scan is next week, and then hopefully that'll be the end of it and I can relax again, fingers crossed!

Here's a little DigiStamp Boutique creation for today...

Looooove this image, he's fab!  The sentiment comes with him too.  This will be perfect for one of my boys this Christmas.  I've totally got out of the habit of colouring, and I'd forgotten that lots of my pens need replacing or refilling, so it's not the best but at least I've made a start!

Merry Merry Merry - Craft Mojo DT

Hello!  I'm back at last... apologies for my disappearing act for over a month (!!!), I'll explain at the end of my post.

I've finally made a card... this one is my Craft Mojo DT card, using some gorgeous MFT dies that were released last month.

I cut the 'merry' die in 3 different colours and cut them into strips, then cut again 3 times in brown and pieced everything back together... one of my favourite techniques, it's like doing a jigsaw :o)

Ok... now an attempt to explain where I've been.  If you're on any of my DTs you'll already know, and I've also had some lovely emails from some of my blogging friends... thank you all for thinking of me!  I found a lump, and the doctor found another lump, and I've been having some tests... it's been quite a worrying time, as it didn't appear to be any of the usual 'harmless' types of lump.  Thankfully all tests so far have come back fine, and I now just have a scan to go... hopefully this will be fine too, and then things can start getting back to normal.

I'm sorry I didn't post before, but I just haven't been able to make anything, my mojo fled... and I couldn't seem to make myself blog about it either.  I've now stepped down from all of my DTs except for DigiStamp Boutique and Craft Mojo, in the hope that less pressure will bring back the urge to create... and I thank all my design teams for being so understanding.

So, hopefully this is the start of me getting back into the whole crafting and blogging thing!  Thanks for popping in, and I hope you have a lovely evening :o)
