A Little Bit of Gossip - Sugar Nellie DT

Oh my goodness... see that innocent looking die cut ladybird?  Or specifically the little black spots on the ladybird?  You would not believe the MESS those little spots caused!  I decided to add them with a pearl pen, but the nozzle was blocked... had a bit of a poke around and couldn't clear it so thicko here squeezed hard... BIG mistake!  The nozzle popped off the end and black pearl stuff sprayed and splattered everywhere - my face was a mass of little black splats, it was all over my hair, my clothes, the desk, and all over my finished card... sob!  So those little 'random' white pearls have been added to cover up the black ones.  I'm still picking lumps of black stuff out of my hair lol.

Lili's Little Fairies - easy as 1, 2, 3

Hmm... I'd like to take issue with the 'easy as' part of our challenge theme at Lili's Little Fairies!  I suppose it's a simple enough recipe - 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments... but I'm SO recipe challenged it took me most of a day to make this - once I'd got the image and papers sorted I just went blank... Wish I'd just shoved 3 buttons on and got it over with!  We're sponsored by Dreamees with a £10 voucher for our lucky winner.

I've had Morgan's letter about secondary school today... scary scary stuff!!!  He's only Year 5 so he's got another year to go yet, but we have to apply in the next few months.  Where did all those years go?!  We're going to have to get him used to getting on buses, because he'll have to go on his own (I'll be taking Dex to school), and I'm panicking about it already!  Eeeeeeek!

Lil Dumplings Rory - Pollycraft DT

Happy Saturday everyone :o)  We've had a lovely day today - we met up with the in-laws for lunch, and then took the boys to the Butterfly House because one of Dex's school projects required him to tick off lots of 'mini-beasts' as he saw them... while seeing bees and ants isn't too difficult, he wasn't likely to see snakes/ newts/ frogs etc without going out somewhere.  Still need to spot a ladybird and a centipede but we're almost done!

Here's a little card I made for one of Dex's friend's whose party we went to yesterday afternoon - Dex chose Lil Dumplings Rory from Pollycraft and insisted the image had to be coloured in 'green with yellow and purple stripes'... luckily these Echo Park papers were a good match!

Baby Henry - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone, hope you're having a good week so far :o)  Is anyone else having the same weird blogger issues as me?  Yesterday evening's post, posted around my usual time, actually appeared on blogger's reader this morning... it was there on my blog, but just didn't show up on the reader.  I wonder what time this one will pop up!  I've noticed it happening on other people's posts too, when it's obvious they've posted the day before but for some reason blogger didn't show it.  Any idea why?

I've been playing with the Impression Obsession Sunglasses dies from My Crafty Heart and made a couple of sets of these slightly silly cards... I quite like silly puns and the customers seem to like them too!  I also did some with 'spec-tacular dad' on for father's day, but for some reason I didn't take a photo of those.

This one uses one of the smaller dies on an A6 card base...

and this one uses the largest die on a 6" x 8" card base...
