I've got a bit of a backlog of cards that I haven't blogged, so I'm just going to show them randomly on days where I don't have a DT card to blog.  Here's one I made last week...

I had my eye on the Tim Holtz tattered flowers die for a very long time, but I wasn't sure if I'd get enough use out of it so I resisted... Then I must have seen it on someone's blog and couldn't resist any longer... that was about 6 months ago, and this is its first use!  Although I've used it again since, so I think I will use it from now on... hopefully!

CAS Mother's Day cards

This morning I spotted some new papers at Pink Petticoat, similar to the gorgeous Isabelline set but with pretty pinks instead of the yellow... obviously I couldn't resist... well this is me, and it's paper!  I've made a set of simple Mother's Day cards - some using Isabelline and some using the new Marshmallow set... all very similar but I thought I'd show them all anyway.

Hello!  Hope you're all having a good week so far.  I'm a bit busy with the Mother's Day cards (for orders and the shop), so I'm not getting much blogging time.... Should be more or less done by the weekend though and then I'll catch up properly with you all.

I've used one of my favourite stamps today - I'm not usually very good with my stamps, I tend to use them once (or not at all) and then forget about them!  But I've used this one quite a lot, it seems to work for lots of different cards and of course it's very cute :o)

Hello, hope you've all been enjoying the weekend.  I should have been in the craft room all day, but hubby talked me into going out - we've been out with MIL, shopping and to Pizza Hut, yum!  I've actually bought clothes for myself... I hate clothes shopping, but my jeans are all falling apart... found some I liked in Next and MIL bought me a top too :o)

Anyway... here's a card my mum asked me to make, for one of her friends who has a little westie.  I'm not sure if you can really tell from the photos, but I printed the image out a few times and layered it up with foam pads (as per mum's latest liking for decoupage... not that she wants to do any herself obviously lol!).

Hello!  Sorry to have been so quiet this week... I've still been crafting, but I just haven't felt like blogging anything... We've all had this nasty cold, and then yesterday was the anniversary of our 2nd son's stillbirth.  I've had a very negative tearful week, and thought I just wouldn't inflict myself on you all!

Sooo... I shall try to get back to 'normal' from now on, although I must admit I'm feeling quite uninspired and negative about my cards too....

Normally I'd have been posting my card for A Gem of a Challenge today, but I decided earlier in the week that it was time for me to step down from Pink Gem Designs... it's never an easy decision to leave a DT, and I've loved being on Janet's lovely team so much... I'll miss you all girls!

It's my day to post on the Sugar Nellie blog today, and I thought I'd use one of the lovely mermaids from the Under The Sea collection, as I've not used one for a while.

I'm not at all happy with my colouring - I was at the shivering stage of this rotten cold, and it was a bit difficult to control the pens lol!  And I had the most disastrous day's crafting - I even put one of my dies through the Ebosser the wrong way round and cut a hole in the magnetic shim... sob!

So did you do the whole Valentine's thing then?  Supposedly we were just exchanging cards, but I got up to presents!  Which is lovely, but now I feel guilty that I didn't get anything for Pav... and we've all got yet another rotten cold, so it's going to be takeaway and lemsip tonight lol, ugh I really do feel awful, been shivering all day.

Something a bit different...

Well it's different for my blog anyway!

Since I've been selling more cards, I've obviously needed to make more... and I'm not a particularly fast crafter, so anything that speeds me up is a good thing.  So I use some pre-coloured toppers, a bit of decoupage, I've got a couple of CDs... I just don't tend to show any of it on my blog!

This is my mum's card though - she really loves the decoupage cards I've made, so for her birthday (which was yesterday) I thought I'd use a decoupage from a Wellington CD.  I know it's not the most 'fashionable' technique, but I quite enjoy it and I knew mum would love it, and she did :o)

Morning everyone :o)  Bit of a surprise this morning, waking up to thick snow on the ground... I obviously haven't been taking any notice of the weather reports!  It's still snowing fairly heavily too.

I've made this one for this week's challenge at Less is More, which is 'Kraft & Kreme'... I use these colours together quite often and my card came together very easily - mainly because I made a similar batch last week using white bases and squares of Pink Petticoat heart paper, and then forgot to take photos of them!

A Gem of a Challenge - gingham or checks

I'm here with my DT card for A Gem of a Challenge - it was my turn to pick the theme and I chose 'gingham or checks'... luckily for me I already had a card made using checked paper, as our printer decided to stop working and I couldn't print any of the stuff I needed.  Hubby fiddled with it for days and was on the verge of ordering a new one, and then decided it could be something interfering with the wi-fi... switched his headphones off and hey presto, the printer now works again lol!
