Favourite Mo Manning card...

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!!

I meant to have a new card to post today, but I've been finishing off some DT bits and pieces, and then Dex wanted to make paper plate pictures (which involves lots of messy glue and sticking random things on paper plates lol...), and who was I to refuse?!

So I thought I'd join in with the challenge at Mo Manning's DP2 Challenge, which is to post your favourite Mo card of the year... so here's mine...

I won't list all the products again, not sure if I can remember them all anyway lol!  It took me ages to use this image as I was a bit scared of colouring her, but isn't she fab?  I must get her coloured again soon.

Here's a link to the original blog post if there's anything you'd like to know.

We're having a very quiet evening, a couple of drinks and letting Morgan stay up if he can make it to midnight... years ago my dad died at New Year... I'm ok - had my little weepy moment on Christmas day... but I'm never really in the mood for a big celebration.

Hope you all have a great evening, whatever you're up to :o)  See you in 2013!

Louie & Big Heart - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)  Hope you've all had a fabulous Christmas... sorry I haven't blogged before now, I was having a little Christmas break away from the laptop!  We've had a lovely few days, but it's probably about time to get back into the swing of things now.

So, here's a card I made for an order, using one of the adorable Louie images from DigiStamp Boutique.  I know the sentiment is a little 'unconventional', but it's what was requested!

Colouring - copics & flexmarkers
Spellbinders Labels 5 dies (a Christmas pressie!)

Big heart - B93, B95, B97, B99

Small hearts - flexmarker in Pebble Blue

I'm entering my card for the following challenges

Things should be more or less back to normal on my blog now... we don't really do New Year so we've no special plans, might just take the kids to the cinema seen as hubby will be off.

Next year will be busy busy busy for me - one of my mum's old colleagues has taken over a gift shop, and she's going to stock my cards... eek!  Fingers crossed that'll be successful, but even if it's not, at least I'll have given it a go eh?

Hope you all have a lovely evening, I'll be popping round for a good catch up later :o)

The stamp I couldn't resist...

It's all your fault Nic...

This is a Stampendous stamp called Snowy Postcard, and I've stamped it on cream linen card in various distress inks.  Lots of glamour dust was added (everyone and everything in our house is now very sparkly!), and then I mounted the images using a Nestabilities floral oval die.

I'm entering my cards for the following challenges
The Stamp Man - in the bleak mid-winter
Simon Says - Merry Christmas
Addicted to Stamps - blue Christmas/ winter (the blue card)
Totally Gorjuss - easy does it

Apologies for being a rubbish blogger over the last couple of days... I was determined to get all the cards and wrapping sorted before today, so that we could have a relaxing evening tonight - we always end up doing last minute wrapping on Christmas Eve, but not this year, yay!  We're going to relax in front of the tv, have a couple of drinks and cuddle the kitten lol.

Hubby's family are Polish, and celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve - so we've done the big meal and presents with them today.  It's been a lovely day, and we've all had fab presents - MIL gave me some Papertrey Ink goodies, Amazon vouchers, money, clothes and perfume... she really does spoil us all!  And then we get to do it all over again with my family tomorrow :o)

Sooo... this is my last post for a couple of days, and I'd just like to wish all my wonderful blogging friends a FAB Christmas!  I hope you all have the best time with your families :o)  See you soon!

Teachers gifts...

Here I go again, over complicating things for myself!

I wasn't planning to make anything for the teachers gifts this year - I've just bought a few little things... and then I decided to make gift boxes to put them in... and then while I was making the boxes I spotted some lovely chunky Prima pegs, and thought I'd make some little fridge magnet clip type things as an extra gift.  So that was today gone, when I should really have been finishing my cards - yes, I've still got a few to make!

Gift boxes (all the same)

For the female teacher & teaching assistant

Just to show where I've added the magnets

For the male teachers

Items Used
Cream linen card (for the boxes) - Papermill Direct
Papers - Dovecraft 'Let It Snow'
Twill ribbon - Fantastic Ribbons
Martha Stewart snowflake punch
Stampin' Up tag punch

We've been to watch Dex in the reception Christmas sing-along 'thing' today... aww, it was SO sweet, and they all did so well :o)  They did it outside though, with the kids in a little covered area in the yard, and the parents going slightly blue with the cold lol... oh, and one of the little ones actually fell asleep while they were singing - bless, he looked so cute slumped over with his thumb in!

Off for a little catch up with some of your blogs, and then I need to go back in the craft room later... seen as I've wasted the day on boxes and singing sessions lol... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Bah humbug!

I'm having a very grumpy day today, sorry!  Been traipsing around trying to get some last minute bits (what exactly do you buy for male teachers????)  And hubby's now got tonsillitis, so I've officially had enough of all the rotten bugs we've had... that's enough now, thank you very much.

Here's Dexter's cards for his class this year - I made 26 of these... my mum thinks I'm quite mad as I could buy a little pack for next to nothing, but I just can't bring myself to buy any cards lol!

I layered some cute images from Pink Gem Designs onto the paper using Serif PagePlus - quite easy to use and FREE to download :o)

Items Used
9.5cm square card blanks cut from red Papermill card
Digi paper - Merry & Bright set - Pink Gem Designs
Pre-coloured Digi stamps - Penguin Set 1, Snow Cute set, Rudolf & Friends - Pink Gem Designs

Not much more to say about these really, so I'll dash off and catch up with a few of your blogs while I can... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Hello everyone :o)

Sorry to have disappeared at the weekend - we were all poorly on Friday and Saturday, and then yesterday I managed to slop a cup of tea all over the laptop and the keys went a bit random so I couldn't type anything!  Hubby ordered a new keyboard for it, but it seems to be working ok today.

Morning everyone :o)

When I sat down to make this week's DT card for the Sugar Nellie blog, I had every intention of making a Christmas card... but when I was going through my stamps I spotted Bella Bunting and just couldn't help myself!  The colours are quite Christmassy though, so the thought was obviously there lol...

I'm panicking slightly at the moment... Morgan's back in bed feeling sick again, Dex is all washed out and says his tummy hurts so we've kept him off school assuming he's starting with it too.  Pav had booked today off thinking we could get some Christmas shopping done, but with both boys off poorly and now we're starting to feel queasy too, that's not going to happen!  And I've got so much to dooooooo.... agh!

Going to shut my eyes for half an hour, and hopefully I'll be raring to go when I open them again... right?  Hope you all have a lovely day :o)

New papers from DigiStamp Boutique

Hello everyone :o)

Yesterday I made a batch of fairly flat Christmas cards using sentiments and gorgeous new papers from DigiStamp Boutique.  These are all to go in the post, so I fought the urge to mat all the layers, and for speed I didn't let myself ink the edges either lol... I had a little production line going and made 12 of them!

I've got a bit of crafting still to do this evening (one of those cards that just refused to come together and I had to walk away!), and then I'll be around to catch up with some commenting.  Have a lovely evening :o)

Pink & green Christmas...

Hello everyone :o)

Sorry, I've been a bit quiet again - making loads of cards, but struggling to find the time to blog them!  My orders are now finished, apart from one that my mum's asked for, so hopefully I'll find some more time from now on... although there's the little matter of my own Christmas cards still to be finished!

Here's one of the cards I made for an order - using another of those handy little pre-coloured images from LOTV, so no colouring involved...

Poor Morgan's got another tummy bug, he's been ever so sick today - it's only a week since he had the last one!  He'll be off school for the rest of the week now, as they're not allowed back for 2 days following tummy bugs.  I don't think he'd be well enough anyway, he's not even kept drinks down today.

Anyway... hope you've all had a good day, and have a lovely evening too :o)
