Less is More wk40 - red and orange

I'm back with my second post for today, a card for this week's Less is More challenge which is 'red & orange' - fine for me as I like bright colours.  I thought it'd be an ideal one for getting inky... so I did... you should see the state of my hands!

I made an inky background on a scrap of linen card, using distress inks in 'scattered straw', 'ripe persimmon' and 'fired brick', then stamped the Hero Arts image using 'gathered twigs' - yep I finally got to play with the Autumn limited edition inks!  I used a scrap of stripy paper, some dark brown card from Papermill Direct and stamped the Stampin' Up sentiment on a tab cut with an MFT die.

I'm also entering my card for the 'over the edge' challenge at CAS-ual Fridays and Jules' Crafty Snippet Challenge - this is what I'm planning to do with a lot of my offcuts of white linen Jules, they're all going to get the inky treatment... eventually anyway!

By the way, it's just the photo that makes everything look slightly wonky, at least I hope it is lol.
