Happy Saturday everyone :o)
Our challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week is 'May flowers' and we're sponsored by Crafty Ribbons with a £10 voucher for our lucky winner.
I played with an older Hero Arts stamp, and one of my favourite techniques that I've not used for ages... ink up the whole stamp with your lightest ink, then dab on other brighter/ darker shades, spritz the stamp with water, then stamp... easy peasy, and looks different every time. I also tore paper for the background... so unlike me!
Items Used
Stamp - Hero Arts - Blooming Meadow
Papers - Studio Light - Pad No 30
Bow die - Lil' Inkers
Sentiment stamp - MFT
(stamped in Memento Ink in Espresso Truffle)
Distress Inks (image) - Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves, Walnut Stain
Distress Ink (edges) - Frayed Burlap
Pearl brad - The Hobby House
Ribbon from my stash
Blogger is driving me mad... for some reason all my posts go up in the middle of the night at the moment, hours after I actually post them. So I'm posting in the morning for a change, to see if it actually manages to pop up today!
Hope you have a lovely day :o)
Lisa, what a beautiful card...I LOVE IT! The stamp is gorgeous and I love the effect of the torn paper in the background...I've never been brave enough to give it a try but after seeing this wonderful card, I think I'm going to bite the bullet, close my eyes...and rip :)

Simply stunning hun! Love this. A lot. I've had that Blogger problem from time to time, infuriating isn't it. Big hugs xx
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa
ReplyDeleteI love your card very much .. .. great technique with a gorgeous stamp!!! Fabby colour combo too.
My blog posts are taking hours to appear too. I get a message in red at the top referring to my signature as though it is conflicting (this is when I am in HTML mode).
The last few days I have ignored the conflict and it has still posted .. .. but hours later.
Today I didn't add my usual signature and simply typed my name, but it made no difference. There was no conflict message but the post still didn't appear. I have overwritten my signature now and it will no doubt appear eventually.
I am getting hardly any feed on my dashboard from other blogs either. I wonder if scheduled ones are any more successful? Might have to try that next.
Weird!!!
I hope all is good with you and you are keeping nice and busy.
Love Jules xx
Such a beautiful card Lisa, love the soft effect of the stamping, a great technique, the torn paper background looks perfect with it!

Absolutely gorgeous card Lisa! Wonderful technique with the inks, I'll definitely have to try it. The torn paper background is a great idea and looks really lovely, I might try this too :D!
ReplyDeleteBlogger has gone mad, I've decided. A blog I regularly follow daily is on the feed some days but not on others. I have to find it myself so you're right, there's definitely something wrong with it. Debra x
Beautiful, you know I love these colours, great stamping technique, must try that and I love distressing. I am loving these new papers.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely STUNNING, a card not like you at all, Love the colours and the torn paper.
ReplyDeleteDon't think I have had problems with blogger, however I haven't scheduled any yet. Will keep an eye out. Thanks for the tip.
