Mother's Day (or special lady) - Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone :o)

Our challenge for this week at Sweet Stampin' is 'Mother's Day (or special lady)' and we're sponsored by Crafts U Love with a £10 voucher for the lucky winner.

I always feel like I've cheated when I use a pre-coloured image, but this is a cute one, and I really have nowhere to sit and colour at the moment so I won't beat myself up over it!  The papers and image are LOTV, sentiment is a Clearly Besotted stamp, the leafy die is Memory Box (I think) and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.

As with everything to do with the extension, we had a few hitches getting the craft room sorted... the flooring arrived damaged and we had to wait for replacements, the joiner still hasn't been to fit the skirting boards.  He's supposedly coming tomorrow, and I have the furniture arriving this week (fingers crossed!) so I should (pleeeeeease) have a fully functional room this time next week.  Will post photos when it's all done!

Thanks for popping in... hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

  7. Gorgeous card Lisa!
I know what you mean about the topper thing. Ever since I discovered stamps, I just don't get the same satisfaction from using a topper. But it is great if you have a whole heap to make quickly! I just made a half dozen cards in an hour, to raise money for charity. But it's definitely not the same! x

  11. Why should you feel like you are cheating with using a coloured image? surely it's what you do with it that counts and you have shown it off beautifully with lovely colours and flowers and papers. AND design.

You must be excited to be having your craft room come together. Look forward to the photos.

  14. Hehe I know what you mean about the toppers. I don't get the same satisfaction from using those over my stamps and inks these days, but they do make a fab quick card and look wonderful. I love that sweet image and the fab sentiment. The blooms are so sweet and the lovely diecut floral branch finishes them perfectly. Fabulous card hun. Hope your crafty nook is finished soon, you must be so over the process! Hugs, Wends x
