Well helloooo! Long time no post eh?
The extension was originally scheduled to be finished at the end of November... which was then revised to 'before Christmas', so I had planned a fresh start for this year, with cardmaking and blogging all hopefully getting back to normal.... BUT the extension is still not finished :o( I'm trying not to be too grumpy about it, as it's going to be fab when it's done... but I really am ready to get everything back to normal NOW!!! And I'm sick of making tea....
Anyway, so Abi kindly said I could return to Sweet Stampin', and I thought January would be perfect... it should have been lol! Our challenge is Something New (stash or event)... a wedding is a new beginning, right? There's a fab goody bag prize for one lucky winner.
I've used a gorgeous Stamping Bella stamp, coloured with copics... I'm SO rusty with these now, and keep daydreaming about the desk I'm going to set up just for colouring in my lovely new room lol. The papers are from LOTV, corner dies are Whimsy (I think) and I added some sparkly silver Doodlebug enamel dots.
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and Happy New Year too! Fingers crossed I'll be around a bit more often very soon.
Thanks for popping in :o)
Happy new year, what a lovely surprise to see you pop up. Gorgeous card, love these papers and fab image x
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to have you back on the team, Lisa and with a stunning come-back card, too! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteYour card is delightful, Lisa, and it's so good to see you posting again. I know what you mean about endlessly making cups of tea. We bought an older house that needed loads doing to it and I felt like I'd made an ocean of tea by the end of the first couple of years of living here. It'll all be worth it in the end as you say, Jo x
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back Lisa and what a lovely card too. STOP making tea and they will soon get the message...it works...I know from experience!! Happy New Year!! xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Lisa...love the image and the LO! So great that you're back on the team!

Happy new year to you and yours

So glad to have you back even if the craft room is still a work in progress! Awesome that you're back with the Sweet Stampin' crew too. Love this gorgeous card Lisa. The Whimsy corner and enamel dots are the perfect finish to this gorgeous card. Love the image and the fabby papers too. Hugs, Wends x
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! Love the soft romantic feel xx
ReplyDeleteNice to see you "back" Lisa :-) Happy New Year to you and yours. Nice card, I love this image and might just have to buy the stamp... even though I prefer digis as I stamp badly, grin. Hope your extension is finished soon, we did our central living and kitchen up a few years ago and still remember the disruption, ugh!
ReplyDeleteI can see the "tea" thing from the other side too as I worked on site with my hubby for years... probably too long into it now for you, but a really good solution is to buy a cheap kettle or urn and put it, some cups and the makings out and let them make their own. The first day there seems to be a bit of tea-making going on but it settles down quickly :-) Donna xx
Gorgeous card Lisa! I know exactly what you're going through but it will be worth it in the end. I'm having tablet problems so not commenting much until it gets sorted. Great to see you back. Happy New Year! Debra x
ReplyDeleteIt must be soooooooooooo frustrating when things are not finished on time, but you managed to make a beautiful card anyway :o)
ReplyDeleteJackie xx
