LOTV Mother's Day

Hello everyone :o)

I've got loads of the pre-coloured LOTV images, most of them bought ages ago, and I rarely think to use them... so here's one that I used on the card that my mum gave to my grandma for Mother's Day.  It's just a simple one, but I quite like it... and it's not pink, which is the main requirement for any card going to my grandma lol, she does not do pink!

Hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday... hugs to all who find the day difficult (I have my own issues with Father's Day).  I was spoilt with new trainers for the gym, pink pyjamas, a pink mug, and Dex drew me a lovely picture of an elephant!  I was hoping to try out the new trainers today, but half an hour after I dropped the kids off at school, I had to go and pick Morgan up again because he'd been sick... so no gym for me!

Isabella Loves Ice Cream - Craft Mojo DT

I've used a gorgeous Stamping Bella stamp for today's Craft Mojo DT card... that fab sentiment comes with her too.

I made this one for a lovely friend who was 40 recently - the '40th' sentiment was made up using a mix of the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler and Alphadot sets... perfect for making up your own sentiments, and such a fun font too.

Clearly Besotted - Home Sweet Home

Hello everyone :o)

Our next door neighbours moved into their new house today - they've been next door since I moved in (nearly 12 years ago!), so I'm sure it'll feel a bit strange for a while now they've gone... anyway, I thought I'd make them a card, and I made one the same to welcome our new neighbours too... and then hubby asked for one for his colleague who just bought his first house, so I made 3 of these altogether.

I used my new Clearly Besotted stamps and MFT blueprints dies, and kept them nice and simple.

Dex has got a tummy bug - I didn't think he looked quite right this morning, but he went to school... when I picked him up he looked all washed out, and said he felt sick.  He took himself off to bed when we got back and fell asleep for an hour... Spencer's Ship - Little Miss Muffet DT

Here's my Little Miss Muffet DT card, using Spencer's Ship, one of the cute new releases... He's got a boat and a sailor's hat, which means red, white and blue to me!

My camera's taking some very odd photos at the moment - the little tag and the base card are made from the same white card, but for some reason look completely different shades of white.

I've had a lovely day today... Dex's teacher was on strike (poor Morgan still had to go to school!) and we popped to Meadowhall, got my hair cut (very short) and spent ages in the Lego shop... we bought cookies too - well, you just have to, don't you?!

Birdbrain Brew

I was asked for a beer or lager themed card for a woman... ummm... ummm.... I couldn't find anything that wasn't totally aimed at men. I'd just about given up, when I spotted this image on the lovely Jo's blog and thought it might just work!

Do you think it worked?  It's my first 'Birdbrain' image, but won't be my last... aren't they fun?

Here's my Craft Mojo DT card, using some gorgeous new goodies from the Craft Mojo shop... Please excuse the dodgy photo - the card base is made from lilac card and the camera just doesn't seem to like it!

I cut the Paper Smooches 'thanks' die 3 times, stuck them together, and coated the top one with Wink of Stella... and then added some of those fab Doodlebug sequins - it's the first time I've used these and I really love them!

I'm here with my DT card for Little Miss Muffet, and I've had a go at this week's challenge theme on the LMMS blog, which is doilies & lace... hmmm... Well, I don't mind lace - I use that occasionally, but I never use doilies.  I even bought some heart shaped ones especially for this theme, but just couldn't make them work for me, so here's what I ended up with....

Doodle Flowers - Craft Mojo DT

Just a quick post, as I've not been able to get blogger to do anything all day, so I'm just hoping this will post!

Here's another Craft Mojo DT card - I've been playing with my Jane's Doodles stamps again, along with one of the fab new Happy dies from WPlus9.

I've coloured the flower with copics and then covered it in Wink of Stella - love this stuff, but I wish my photos picked it up better!

Inky Butterflies - Craft Mojo DT

Hello everyone... I'm back with my 2nd post for today, my DT card for Craft Mojo.

This one's a little bit different for me - I don't often get properly inky, although I do enjoy it... my hands were quite purple by the time it was finished!

I used Shaded Lilac and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks to make the background.  If you've never done this before it's very easy (but quite messy!)... just splodge the inks onto a craft mat, spray with water, wipe a piece of white card in the puddles and then dry it with a heat gun... I usually repeat this a couple of times until I'm happy with the result, so you need fairly thick card that will cope with the water and heat.

I added some spots using the border stamp from the Doodle Flowers set by Jane's Doodles in Hero Arts Soft Purple ink and the butterflies are from another Jane's Doodles set - the largest one is stamped on the background, and then stamped again and cut out so I could pop the wings up.
