Hello everyone :o)
I've used the adorable Polka Dot Pals Daisy for today's Little Miss Muffet DT card... and I'm still trying to use up some of my older papers - this pad must be about 4yrs old... and it's not that I went off them - what tends to happen is, I get about half way through a pad, then stop because I don't want them all to be gone... very silly!
I'm not sure what's going on with the photos - poor Daisy looks like she's got a big slap mark on one cheek, but in 'real life' it's not there... I promise, she's unharmed really!

A conversation with Dex...
Dex: Is our country an island?
Me: Yes... do you know what an island is?
Dex: ....hmmm... no, not really
Me: It means a country, or piece of land, that's surrounded by water
Dex: So you can't ever leave it?
Me: Well, you can by plane, or on a boat...
Dex: Or on a hamster? A magic one, I mean...
Ermmmm....
Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)
Well, if I had a magic hamptser I would swim on over and tell you IRL what a great card this is!
ReplyDeleteLove those bright papers! I have ventured idto the brights a couple of times and found i really like working with them.
your card has so much cheery impact from those marvelous colours.
Fab shading on your colouring too!

ReplyDeleteRebecca.
Glad you had a lovely few days off but it does put the routine out having folks at home. The card is beautiful I love the bright cheerful colours and the colouring is fabulous as always
ReplyDeletegreat colouring and I love the colours of the paper! x
ReplyDeleteerm magic hamster - why not... :)
Children are so sweet aren't they? and very funny sometimes. I must confess that I have complete, untouched paper pads in my craft room ( hangs head in shame) that I don't want to use because they are too nice, lol. This is a lovely bright card Lisa and your colouring is superb especially the shadow of the balloon behind the other one, nice touch.
ReplyDeleteLorraine
Childrens imagination....is'nt it just wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteLovely card Lisa, love the peachy/yellow tones x Susan x
Gorgeous card and gorgeous colours. Hugs, Claire x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great colorful selection of old papers! Love the colors of them, and the girl has such beautiful roses on her cheeks, so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty, I love the folds on her dress that you've coloured.
ReplyDeleteOnto more serious stuff, if you do get a magic hamster, can I borrow him, as I'd love to be able to travel in warm and fluffy comfort.
I do have a couple of technical questions for Dex though.
1) What is the average travel speed of a magic hamster, because I'd love to cut down the time for me to get to the in-laws 240 miles away?
2) We've recently been completely cut off the railway network by the damaged train line in Dawlish, so is there any magic hamster availability on 14 March, as I need to get to London (and would he take my pre-purchased-and-now-useless train ticket as payment?)
3) Being the environmentally person I am, are magic hamsters more eco-friendly than other forms of transport? I presume the emissions are less, unless he's been eating baked beans the night before travelling?
Guess the magic carpet is redundant now then!? Out of the mouths of babes!! Great card Lisa xx
ReplyDeleteLove your card Lisa. Just gorgeous in those cheery colours. It's all in the details with you! I'm always drawn into your colouring details, stunning! The shadow of the balloon through the front one, the folds in the dress, the hint of the bridge of the nose. You really are a talent power house my lovely blog pal. I can always count on you for a little entertainment too! Magic hamsters! I'm still giggling over Annette's response. So funny! Have an awesome day hunny xxxx
ReplyDeleteI have some of those papers too, great layout and a lovely image too, Luv Sam x
ReplyDeleteI'm sat here laughing at the comments above whilst thinking what reasonable questions they are. Just one more:
ReplyDeleteBeing magic hamsters how do they cope with cats as hamster travel definitely sounds great but I don't want my cats to hurt one Lisa, your card is brilliantly coloured and doesn't look like she's been slapped and left, as my aunt would say. The balloons and folds are especially good. Lovely card. Debra x
Adorable and so gorgeous Lisa, the colours are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHugs Wendy xx
Such a beautiful card Lisa, I love the sweet image and gorgeous sunny colours.
ReplyDeleteI did laugh at your conversation with Dex and then laughed even more reading all the funny comments on here - thanks for cheering me up!!

With a magic hamster, you can do anything! I've been toying with the idea of getting a regular hamster (because the magic ones are out of my price range) to play with the cat. Not like that! But when she runs around in her little exercise ball.... You never know with hamsters though. I had one who was very people oriented and another one who couldn't be bothered with people. I'm so off topic now. The topic now is... slapped her cheek? what kind of crazy party is this sweet little gal going to?! My goodness. Your card is lovely and I never noticed the slap mark. But I did notice that I am not alone--yep, I buy paper and then don't use it because I don't want to use it up!!!! Crazy. Sometimes I even buy a second one so I can not use the first one. I'm sure it makes some logical sense somehow.
ReplyDeletegreat conversation with Dex - that made me chuckle - love your card - I still wonder why so many of these characters have no nose or mouth!! Lol x
ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet Lisa and beautifully coloured. The papers are scrummy (they match your blog). A delightful card.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your week.

I'm SO with you on the don't use all of a pad thing... it's like you're worried you'll forget how pretty it is if you use it up, and it's very prettiness is wasted sitting closed up in your paper stash!! Love this card, cute image, beautifully coloured... and nice paper :-)) We're not allowed hamsters of ANY kind in Australia, I had a couple when I was growing up in the UK and couldn't believe you couldn't get them here, but there you go. I'll just take Dex's lead and have an imaginary one :-) Donna xx
