A Gem of a Challenge - sketch

I'm back with my second post for today, my DT card for A Gem of a Challenge.  This week we have a fab sketch created by Lisa, and I'm a bit happier with this card than I was with the one I posted earlier :o)




I've been playing with my new Prisma pencils again - not that I don't like my promarkers anymore, it's just that I want to keep practising until I've got the hang of the pencils!  I don't think my colouring is quite right on this one, but I'm wondering if I need different paper... I've used Bristol Board for this - can any regular prisma colourers recommend a good one to try?

The image is one of Janet's gorgeous new Fairy Faye digi stamps, this one is Faye with Flowers.  The papers are First Edition and I decided I need to start using up some of the flowers I've had hanging around for ages.  I bought these in a sale ages ago, probably about 2yrs ago - I've got a huge boxful in all different colours but I tend to forget all about them... wonder if I can get them all used by the end of the year... probably not!

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

Right, Dex is in bed snoring away - he fell asleep while I read his story, he's so wiped out poor thing.  So hopefully he'll sleep the rest of this yucky bug off tonight and wake up feeling a bit better.  Off to catch up on some commenting while I can!

    Aww Wishing your little one well hunny, your card is gorgeous, I think you have already got the hang of them pencils, I am not a pro with mine yet, but just use whatever paper I do for my alcohol pens. Joey x

    Hi Lisa I do hope Dex gets better soon sweetie its horrible when little ones are poorly. I think this card is superb and your coloring is just fabulous. I use stampin up whisper white to colour on but what you have used looks just fine to me! Hugs Rebekah xx

    Hi Lisa, this card is Really Beautiful, I love the layout and the image, I too am leaning towards pencils and I have to say they are becoming a favourite, practice does make perfect, and I have just bought quite a few different brands in the sale so I have to use them lol.
