Custard the cow...

This wasn't what I'd intended to make today at all, but I had the urge to use this stamp so I just went along with it...

The stamp is a Sugar Nellie called 'Custard' - one of the first stamps I ever bought and it's been too long since I last used it.  I've coloured it mainly with promarkers, adding a bit of koh-i-noor pencil for shading.  The papers are a mix of Papermania and Dovecraft, with coredinations cardstock.  Butterfly cut with a Stampin' Up embosslits die, border cut with MS scallop dot punch, ribbon and pearls from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

This is also my entry for the Sugar Nellie facebook challenge, which is punches, but I need to go and work out how to enter that as I've only just joined the group!

Ooh.... I know this is a bit boring for most of you, but those with mini champions of fussiness will understand my excitement - Dex ate a strawberry today, just because he wanted to!!!  He's not eaten a strawberry (or lots of other things) for about 2yrs so I'm very pleased.  He said he liked it too :o)

  1. Hi Lisa,
love this card!! The image is fab and the colours you've used create a perfect outdoor feel. Love your layout too. xx

Well done Dex! I know just what it's like to have kids that won't eat a varied diet; my eldest son lived on Weetabix and bananas for about two years and I thought he'd never eat normally! xx

Fab about your son hunni, my youngest is 15 & the only fruit he will eat is a bananna or an apple if I peel the skin off. He really is fussy hun. My eldest will eat ANYTHING but not my youngest lol, he's even funny on puddings....He has been like this all his life.

    Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

  23. Hi Lisa, what a fun card - great image and colour combo. Well done Dex too on trying strawberries, I know just how you feel. My Emily is a good eater - of what she likes but nothing else! She will only eat apples and bananas, just refuses any other fruit and as for veg! Just don't go there! Everyone tells me they grow out of it - I hope so. Sarah

  35. Gorgeous card Lisa...again!! I understand your excitement about Dex and the strawberry...my youngest son Chris is 27 soon and he was the FUSSIEST eater (unlike my first who'd eat anything!) Chris didn't start eating "new" things until he worked in a restaurant while he was at Uni and had to road test the menu... he still doesn't like strawberries - it's the texture...apparently!! Dee
