Our challenge for this fortnight at Crafty Cardmakers is 'butterflies', so a nice easy one that everyone can join in with :o)
I'm not really sure about my card though! I wanted to try making a background with a die cut mask, so I cut a go kreate frame and then used the waste piece to sponge distress inks through - using 'broken china', 'faded jeans' and 'black soot' inks. The butterfly and dragonfly stamps are from the Penny Black 'salutations' set and the sentiment is Stampin' Up. Added a pale blue pearl to the butterfly.
I think it needs something else to finish it off, but I'm not sure what. I'm struggling to make anything particularly interesting at the moment, as I just can't concentrate with the boys off school... there's so much noise and always someone who needs something. Hubby's off this week too, so we're planning some day trips and I doubt I'll get much crafty time. Off to catch up with lots of commenting now as that's another thing that's a bit tricky to fit in with everyone at home!
Well it is inspirational for me, so I don't think it needs anything else.

ReplyDeleteI think it's perfect just the way it is Lisa. Gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Lisa, I really like the variegated colours you've managed to achieve. I hope you don't mind me saying that the only thing I could think to add would be a plain ribbon at the bottom, but I don't know that it's essential.
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a nice day even with the noise!

I love a bit of sponging in a die cut or punched mask and I really like the dramatic colours you've used here. It's lovely as it is but you could always add a die-cut or cut-out butterfly or something to add a bit more dimension if you wanted more detail. Vx
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo pretty Lisa!
