Inky peacock

I think I'm having some sort of crafter's crisis... I don't seem to be able to stick to one style - I'm all over the place at the moment!  An inky creation today...

This stamp is really not 'me' but I just couldn't resist it, I think it's beautiful.  It's actually stamped in black onto a green/ blue inky cosmic shimmery background... the peacock is all shimmery in blues and greens but the photo isn't showing it up, grrr!  The green embossed panel is core'dinations, with a bit of light sanding and inking, and it was then sprayed with 'spray & sparkle' - again this isn't showing up in the pic.  Penny Black sentiment, pearls from stash.

A question for all the inky people out there - how do you get all the ink off your hands?!  I had bright green hands for hours after I made this... they're still quite green now, after LOTS of washing.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

  1. You are right hun, this isn't "you", but it is still FAB-U-LOUS! Love the rich green, reminds me of emeralds. Super work sweetie, hope your hands come clean! I think I'm having the same problem, flitting between CAS and OTT and a bit in the middle, could account for my missing mojo! Hugs Sxx

  3. Hey Lisa, you know what they say - variety is the spice of life!! I never stick to one style of cardmaking - get too bored. I have to try many different techniques and styles. This is beautiful and that peacock is awesome. Oh and the green hands is all part of the fun - :0) Hugs Denise xx

  13. So this is where your green hands came from then? Looks fabulous. Totally not your normal style but you've still managed to make it look clean and crisp.

I'd suggest Swarfega too, but I don't have any alcohol inks so not the best person to advise I'm afraid.

    Love Mandy xxx

  20. This is a very striking card! Something different from what I usually see on blog land :)

I've tried craft scrubbie, and it works like a gentle exfoliator... another quick tip a crafty friend once gave me, all the ink will go away when you wash your hair! I guess it works because your hair would have acted like an exfoliator without you realising it!

  22. Hi Lisa

Join the club!! I like trying lots of different styles too .. .. there is just so much out there to learn and experiment with!!

Love what you have done here.

Very rich and vibrant .. .. hopefully your hands weren't quite this green or people might think you were turning into the Incredible Hulk!!!

I find a good old scrub with soap and a nail brush works wonders .. .. plus the hair washing tip works too.

    Love Jules xx
