Dancing Tulips - The Stamp Basket

It's my turn to post on The Stamp Basket blog today, and I decided to have a play with some dies instead of a stamped image for this week's card...

Items available from The Stamp Basket
Sentiment stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink

I've used 2 separate dies for the tulips - Dancing Tulips cuts the basic tulips and leaves, and Tulip Petals cuts the flower in 4 pieces, and then you just layer them up.  I used my new Stampin' Up framelits dies (not the biggest one, this is the next size down) to cut the central shape, and drew around the die on kraft card to make the mat.  The sentiment is also Stampin' Up, stamped in Rich Cocoa memento ink.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges:

When I picked Dex up from nursery this afternoon, he said "I'm going to be really nice to Morgan today... and to Daddy".... "Oh, that's nice" I said "are you going to be nice to Mummy too?"... Dex thinks about it for a while... "No, I don't think so!"  Cheeky little monkey!

Have a lovely evening :o)

These layered tulips are so much nicer than the flowers you've replaced with them, gorgeous colours and CAS design :0)

Gorgeous card Lisa, very elegant. Love those tulips. I haven't seen that Tulip Petals die. I have the Dancing Tulips die so I may have to invest...... Mmmm that's the worst of visiting your favourite blogs....you see stuff you want (need)!

Aren't kids funny the things they come out with? What a cutie Dex is!

Hello Lovely Lisa, how fab to 'see' you. I think your Dex and my Sweet Cheeks would get on perfectly. Are you completely sure they're not related?! As for this card. It's gorgeous. I love how the tulips have turned out and the papers are scrummy too. xx

Oooh gorgeous Lisa! I've got the dancing tulips die, but didn't bother with the petals one. Now it's going on the list!

Wonderful shape to your main frame as well and love the colour combo.

Your Dex sounds just like my Emily - she told me the other day that her and daddy are nearly perfect, when I asked if I was too the reply came, no - you're OK not perfect like us!!!! Good job I love her back, ain't it ;-)

Very elegant, Lisa. It has a lovely, tailored feel to it. Maybe Dex thinks he's already nice to you, mmmm, maybe it just shows how confident he is of you liking him WITHOUT him having to be nice to you - more like it I'm afraid :-) Donna ☺
