Name that die?

Happy Saturday :o)

I'm not sure if I'd normally show this card, but I'm hoping someone can identify the die on it?!  I received an order from Dies to Die For yesterday, and if you've ever ordered from them, you'll know they pop a few die cuts in with each order.  This butterfly was included in mine, and I neeeeed it, but after spending hours searching I haven't been able to find it.  I did ask on the Dies to Die For facebook page, but Tracy must be busy, it's the bank holiday weekend after all.  And I really neeeeed to order it nooooooooow lol.

So, do you know what it is?

I can't take much credit for the card really, seen as I didn't even cut the die... love the glittery card, but again it's not mine lol.  I just popped it on a card and added a Stampin' Up sentiment and a black Doodlebug sequin... easy peasy.

Just a quick post with a last minute entry for Less is More... their challenge this week is 'use 3 stamps', which proved almost impossible for me!  My poor crafty brain just doesn't work that way... I've never been able to do challenges that ask for a certain number of something.

I've faffed around all day, and come up with two cards that aren't really doing anything for me, but I'll post them anyway!

All white sympathy...

I nearly didn't bother showing this one, as I just couldn't get a photo that showed the details... white cards are so hard to photograph.  The light box was no good, so I ended up setting up near the window in the craft room, which worked better... maybe I'll try this set up for my other cards, it'd be easier than getting the light box out every time anyway!

I've got some old Bazill Basics templates that come in very handy whenever I need a butterfly trail.  They're just sheets with holes in the shape of different swirls and patterns... I pencil a dot through each hole, remove the template, then add 'pearls' over the top with a pearl pen.

We've finally got round to painting the other main room in our extension today... we've been putting it off since we finished the craft room (soooo hate painting!).  It's going to be a gaming/ hanging out space for the kids... mainly for Morgan but I'm sure Dex will get some use out of it too.  Hoping to have it all finished by next weekend so they can start using it.... although I do tend to get carried away in the craft room and forget there's still loads to do!

I've probably had the wildflowers one for a couple of years and don't think I've ever used it.  I'm trying to be a bit better at inking up my unused stamps, I have so many of them it seems silly to keep buying more (that won't stop me though!).

Sentiments Bundle - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

For today's cards I've used the new Sentiments Bundle from DigiStamp Boutique, with this week's Less is More challenge (1 layer, geometric shapes or patterns) in mind.

They look simple don't they?... hmmm!

The amount of binned versions of these cards... ooh they did make me say some naughty words!  Smudged stamping, stray blobs of distress ink... one layer cards are so hard, because you can't get away with anything!

Anyway, these were eventually done by turning the sentiments diagonally in Word, then stamping the borders, then cutting a hexagon background die and using that as a stencil to ink through.

I've used one of the new stamps from LOTV, as that tablecloth looked ideal for a bit of paper piecing.  I used one of the plainer papers but added some detail with a cheesecloth background stamp.

Less is More - not white

Hello everyone :o)

Ok, so I'm aware that this one's a bit on the deadly dull side!  It's for this week's challenge at Less is More, which is 'white space but not white'... I made it early in the week and hoped to make another one, but I've been busy making other things that I can't share yet.  So this one will just have to do!

I've got quite a bit of core'dinations in this colour for some reason... not quite lilac, not quite grey... somewhere in between?  The butterfly embossing folder is another sneaky new purchase, and I just sanded the card back a bit and then added the sentiment.
