Alyssa - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

I've used an older DigiStamp Boutique image for today's card, as I thought she'd be good for a New Year's Eve blog post... this is Alyssa...

Items Used
Digi stamp - Alyssa - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - copics
Papers - Basic Grey Hipster - MCH
Sentiment stamp - CC Designs
MFT Dienamics corner die
Memory Box Tiny Bow die
Stickles in Diamond
Pearl from my stash

We don't usually do much for New Year's Eve - we're going round to my mum's for a takeaway, but we probably won't stay late because Dex will want to go to bed... he does like his sleep lol.

Thank you all for your visits and comments over the last year... Happy New Year :o)

Christmas Archie - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone... I did make something new today, but it's a DT creation that I can't show yet - I sat in the craft room and went a bit blank, so made something I 'needed' to make... possibly I'd hardly make anything if I didn't have DT stuff and orders, so it's a good thing I'm usually busy!

So here's yet another Christmas creation that I haven't shown yet... this one was Morgan's card.

It was supposed to look a bit like one of our cats, Boris, but I coloured him far too orange... don't think I've got the right copics for ginger fur yet.

Items Used
Digi stamp - Christmas Archie - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - copics (plus a bit of prisma pencil to try & tone down the orange... didn't work!)
Papers - MME Mistletoe Magic - MCH
Digi sentiment - Simply Christmas Greetings Male - DigiStamp Boutique
MS Snowflake punch
Card candy - Craftwork Cards
Glamour Dust in Crystal

Another reason I didn't get much done today - my Cameo arrived... woo hoo!  So I had to clear a space for it in the craft room... which took a while, as it's a TIP in there... more sorting out to do tomorrow, but at least my new machine has a home.  It's plugged in but that's about as far as I got with it today.

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Gift card holders

Hello everyone :o)

I meant to make something new today, but we took the boys to see Frozen instead... we all loved it!  And then we were very naughty and got KFC, and I don't feel like making anything now lol.  So I thought I'd show one of the creations I didn't get round to blogging before Christmas...

I popped a little pocket on the back of these large tags, and used them as gift card holders - I'm always looking for nice ways to give money and gift cards, and I'm looking forward to having more options when the Cameo arrives!

Items Used
White linen card - Papermill Direct
Tag die - old one from Little Claire
Stitched border die - MFT Dienamics Blueprints 1
Memory Box Precious Stockings die
Cuttlebug embossing folders
Ric rac ribbon & pearls from my stash

Hopefully I'll be back with a new creation tomorrow... not sure what though!  Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Best Day Ever - Sugar Nellie DT

Hello everyone :o)

Hope you had a fabulous Christmas!  We have, it's been lovely... total chaos as usual but lots of fun.

Here's my Sugar Nellie make for this week, using the gorgeous Best Day Ever stamp.

Items Used
Scalloped card blank - Joanna Sheen
Stamp - Sugar Nellie Best Day Ever - Funky Kits
Colouring - copics
Papers - Dovecraft Garden Party
Spellbinders Curved Border dies
(wanted these for ages & got them for Christmas)
Spellbinders Labels 14 dies
Go Kreate Large Circle dies
Impression Obsession Butterfly dies
Sentiment stamp - LOTV
Pearls from my stash

I don't suppose anyone wants to buy a Cricut Expression?  £100 plus carriage (or hubby will deliver if you're local).  I quite liked the look of the Silhouette Cameo, but thought I'd probably wait a while as I don't really 'need' one... but it came up as one of the Lightning Deals on Amazon today, so Pav said I could order it for my birthday :o)  A very over the top present really, but we didn't do Christmas pressies for each other.  So the Cricut needs a new home if anyone would like one!

Off for a little catch up with your blogs, as I've not done any blogging at all for the last couple of days... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Cute Polar Bear - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)  Hurrah - it's Christmas Eve and I'm all done... well ok, there's a couple of things I'd have liked to do and ran out of time... but no one will know, it's all fine!

Here's one of the last Christmas cards I've made - this one is for Dex, and it's also my DT card for DigiStamp Boutique for this week.  Dex loves these polar bear images, so hopefully he'll like this.  I seem to have run out of time to show my few remaining Christmas creations, but maybe I'll just show them when it's all over lol.

Items Used
Scalloped card blank - Joanna Sheen
Digi stamp - Cute Polar Bear - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - copics
Sentiment - Simply Christmas Greetings Male - DigiStamp Boutique
Papers - LOTV
Stickles in Diamond

We've had our Polish Christmas today - traditionally the presents and big meal are done on Christmas Eve, so we do the whole thing once with Pav's family and then we'll do it all again tomorrow with mine lol.  We've had lots of fun and the kids are very hyper, and somehow we need to get them settled to sleep tonight so that Father Christmas can do his thing ;o)

Well I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas... I'm going to have a little hop around some of your blogs now, seen as I have a spare few minutes at last.  Have fun everyone, see you in a couple of days!

Mistletoe Mice for my mum

Hello everyone :o)

How are you all doing?  Hopefully more organised than me!  I still have a couple of Christmas cards to make and a bit of wrapping left to do, so tonight will be another late one - I'm determined to have a relaxing evening tomorrow, so it all needs to be finished!

Here's the card I made for my mum and her hubby - she mentioned a while ago that she'd not had any easel cards from me for a while, so I thought I'd make her one.

Excuse the rubbish photos - the card is about 7.5" wide, and I struggle taking pics of large cards... and easel cards!

Items Used
White linen and buff card - Papermill Direct
Stamp - Mistletoe Mice - Stampavie
Colouring - copics
Papers - Woodland Wishes - LOTV
Nestabilities Grand Labels 1 dies
La La Land Heart Banner die
(drew around it for the white mat & cut again for the hearts)
Memory Box Corner Bow die
'Being together...' sentiment stamp - Personal Impressions
Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White

I won't say Happy Christmas yet as I'll be back again tomorrow!  Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Teachers gift bags

Hello again... thanks so much to everyone who commented earlier - I went ahead and made my little batch of pudding cards, and I've got a few others done today too... getting there slowly!

Here are the gift bags I made for the boys to give to their teachers...

They're not perfect, but for a first attempt I was fairly happy with them.  I used a template from My Time Made Easy, which would have been a lot easier with a machine to cut them on, but I never got the SCAL software working again on the Cricut after we got a new laptop.  So the Cricut has been boxed up and put in the loft for now... I quite fancy a Silhouette, but I don't suppose I really need one, and I'd probably end up not using that either!

Items Used
Template - Grab Bag - My Time Made Easy
Papers - Kraft Christmas & Woodland Wishes - LOTV
Sentiment tag stamps - LOTV (the blank tag from the Christmas set)
Brown flower - Prima Cabaletta Fall - MCH
Red flower - Bo Bunny Plum Purple Daisies - MCH
Pearls & velcro dots (to fasten) from my stash

I'm entering my bags for the following challenges
Papertake Weekly - Christmas card or project
Craft Your Passion - Christmas anything but a card
Crafting for all Seasons - anything Christmas but a card
Crafting by Designs - wrap it up
LOTV Monthly - anything but a card
(used LOTV papers & tag stamps - hope that's ok)

I'll be round for a little commenting catch up later... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Honest opinions please!

Happy Saturday everyone :o)

I hadn't really intended posting this morning, but I'm having a wobble and need opinions!

I've cut all the bits ready to put several of these cards together - I thought they'd be good for the neighbours (I know, so last minute!) and a couple of male relatives.  But it's had the most lukewarm reaction ever from hubby and the kids, and now I'm considering binning it and coming up with something else.  Morgan (usually my biggest fan) said "it's alright"... Dex (who's like a mini Simon Cowell, the voice of doom even with cards I really like) said it was rubbish... Hubby wasn't even sure what it was (Christmas puddings obviously aren't big in Poland)... so, help?  Do I put the others together or scrap the idea?

I should add, I got the basic idea from Pinterest.

Items Used
White hammered, brown & green card - Papermill Direct
Go Kreate large plain & scalloped circle dies
Digi stamp (on tag) - NEW Christmas Word Art Set - DigiStamp Boutique
(badly) hand cut holly leaves - started as ovals and I hacked bits off!
Tag die - Little Claire
Swiss Dots embossing folder
Card candy - Craftwork Cards
Stickles in Frosted Lace

I'll be back later with another post... Hope you all have a lovely day :o)

5th Avenue - Sugar Nellie DT

Hello everyone :o)

For today's Sugar Nellie DT card, I've had a little break from the Christmas makes... I had the urge to make something girlie, so I've used the gorgeous 5th Avenue stamp from the Simply Sassy range.

Items Used
Card blank - Craftwork Cards
Stamp - Sugar Nellie 5th Avenue - Funky Kits
Colouring - copics
Papers - Bo Bunny Smoochable - MCH
Memory Box Cherry Blossom die
Memory Box Floral Vine die - MCH
Resin flower - MCH (out of stock)
Sentiment tag stamps - LOTV

The end is in sight now with the Christmas cards... still some to make but I'm starting to feel less panicky!  The odd thing is I'm quite enjoying making them - normally I'd be sick of the sight of them by now lol.

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

I'm trying to keep up with commenting, but there's just so much to do!  Today I've been making gift bags/ boxes for the teachers presents - I obviously like to make work for myself lol.  I've still got some to finish off tonight, so I'm not sure how much blogging I'll get done.

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Gems from my stash

We've done most of the shopping we needed to do this morning, then we went to see Dex in his nativity - aww, they did really well, it was so sweet!  I'm going again tomorrow morning, because I don't like to think of him having no one there to watch him lol.  I've just got the annual toy shop run with my mum this evening, although we really don't need much now... although Dex did announce that the thing he really hopes Father Christmas brings is the Leap Pad, and as we didn't think he was that bothered we haven't got one - and they'd sold out in the shops we went in this morning.  So fingers crossed I can get one tonight!

Hope you all have a lovely evening... hopefully I'll be able to hop around some of your blogs tonight when I get back :o)

Wedding card - another easel!

Hello everyone :o)

I've been busy in the craft room today, but haven't taken photos of anything yet... so I thought I'd show you a wedding card I made for an order a while ago.  It's yet another easel card, although this one is ivory & gold - so at least it's not another white one... not quite anyway!

Items Used
Ivory linen cardstock - Papermill Direct
Congratulations stamp - LOTV
'on your wedding' stamp - Woodware Mr & Mrs set
Gold detail embossing powder
Nestabilities Grand Labels 1 dies
Memory Box Cherry Blossom die
Memory Box Lavish Branch die - MCH
Pearl brad - The Hobby House

Pav's got the day off tomorrow, so we can do the last of our Christmas shopping and then go to Dex's nativity play in the afternoon... and then I'm going to a big toy shop with my mum in the evening.  I hate shopping (especially Christmas shopping), so apart from the play I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow!

Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

In Stitches Christmas

Hello everyone :o)

I couldn't resist this stamp set from Clearly Besotted - it's my first purchase from there and I'm sure it won't be my last.  This little card was part of an order, just simple ones for a little girl to give to her friends.  Anyone who's expecting a card from me - I must apologise in advance... most of my cards for posting will be very simple, because most of them haven't been made yet!  I've been so disorganised because of all the orders, so the next few days are going to be very busy while I try to get all of my own cards finished.  I've said this every year, but I really MUST be more organised next year!

Items Used
3" x 5" cards - cardstock from Papermill Direct
In Stitches Christmas stamps & dies - Clearly Besotted
Memento inks in Rhubarb Stalk & Toffee Crunch
Sentiment tag stamps - LOTV
(name is computer generated - pharmacy font)
Twine from my stash
Glossy accents (for the nose!)

We've been back to the hospital with Dex today, just to get his head checked again - he's fine, no stitches or anything needed.  Then, as our appointment was so early, we went for breakfast (I'm still full now lol), and then came back and cleared out loads of the kids toys so we could put the tree up... might take a photo of it tomorrow, it looks very pretty.  So tired now though!

Hope you all have a lovely evening... my fave's gone on the X Factor, so I'm not too bothered who wins, will watch it anyway of course :o)

Robins for Daddy

Papers - Kraft Christmas - LOTV

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Allsorts - snowflakes

Thanks for all your messages about Dex's accident - he's been fine today, apart from a bit of a headache... I'd planned a day of coffee, cake and shopping with my mum and auntie, and ended up taking Dex with me because I didn't really want to leave him.  He's been very good and ended up getting lots of treats from all of us!  Fingers crossed he won't need anything doing at the hospital tomorrow.

Hubby's going out tonight, so me and Morgan are going to sit and watch the X Factor together... hmm, I haven't got much crafty stuff done today!!  Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

What a day!!!

Well we've had a proper Friday 13th today!... All was going reasonably well, until I got a call from school mid-morning to tell me Dex had fallen, landed on his head and there was a lot of blood.  I dashed off to school in a mad panic, and by the time I got there he was feeling sick and sleepy... his coat was soaked with blood.  We took him to the children's hospital... not too much hanging around this time before we were seen, and then they settled him into a bed where he was snoring in seconds.  A few hours later they cleaned him up and patched his head with steri-strips, and said we could take him home, but as soon as we got home we realised his wound was bleeding again!  So back to the hospital, where they took off the steri-strips (the wound's too swollen for them apparently), put a small dressing on, and we've got to go back on Sunday to see if it needs glueing instead.

Right, sorry for all the rambling... onto today's card at last!  It's my Sugar Nellie DT day, and I've made yet another white easel card - sorry!

Peggy Sue Hatter - Little Miss Muffet DT

Hello everyone :o)

I've been round to my friend's house with the kids this evening, so I'm running a bit late... I'd planned to announce my candy winner today, but I'll pop back and do it in the morning.

Here's my Little Miss Muffet DT card for this week, using the fabulous Peggy Sue Hatter digi stamp, and following our current challenge theme which is You've Been Framed.

I knew I wanted to use this MFT frame die, as I've had it for months without using it, and the challenge theme seemed like a good push to get it used!  But I thought the die was bigger than it actually is, and printed the image far too big, so had to adapt the plan I had for my card... I'm quite pleased with how it turned out though, so it was a happy mistake!

Items Used
Digi stamp - Peggy Sue Hatter - Little Miss Muffet Stamps
Colouring - copics
Papers - Glitz Design Cashmere Dame - MCH

A little candy!

Hi everyone :o)

I'm ridiculously busy at the moment, and not really managing to keep up with all your lovely blogs properly... so I thought it would be the perfect time to offer a little candy, just to thank you all for popping over to see my creations.  So here it is...

Saturated Canary - Little Ladybug stamp
Impression Obsession - Snowflake dies
A selection of twill ribbon & baker's twine

I'm only leaving this open until 10th December, in the hope that the winner will receive the prize in time for Christmas.  You must be a follower and it'd be great if you'd add the pic to your sidebar, but that's not essential.

Good luck :o)

Cute Ted Valentine Set - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

It's my day to post on the DigiStamp Boutique blog, and I've used one of the cute new Valentine Ted images - for a birthday card though.  I'm down to 2 cards to complete for orders - one Christmas and one birthday... and then I can (very quickly!) make the rest of my own cards!

Do you remember the problems I was having with sticky copics?  Well, I think I've discovered a solution... although it's not one I'm completely happy about!  It seems to be the cardstock I colour on that's causing the issues... I'm not going to name it, as there are plenty of people using it and getting on fine - it must be a combination of the card and the way I colour!  I've switched to a different card and, hey presto, no sticky copics!  My colouring doesn't look as good though, so I either need to practise with the new card, or find a different one that I prefer.  As I said, I'm not naming the card here, but feel free to email me if you're having copic issues yourself and I'll let you know that way.

Items Used
Scalloped card blank - Craftwork Cards
Digi stamp - NEW Cute Ted Valentine Set - DigiStamp Boutique
Colouring - copics
Papers - MME
Bow die - MFT dienamics (from one of the blueprints sets)
Button from my stash

Hope you all have a lovely evening, will be round for a little catch up later :o)

**There's less than an hour left if you haven't entered my candy yet - you can find it here**

LOTV nativity

Hello everyone :o)

Today I'm showing 'one I made earlier', not because I haven't got anything else to show you - I have, but they're all either robins (again), or white easel cards (again), or DT cards I can't blog yet...

Do your schools rename the nativity play something random?... I know the idea is not to offend anyone, but the play is still basically the same, but with a made up name!  Dexter's has been named 'The Midwife Crisis'... sigh... He thinks he's going to be a sheep, but doesn't seem sure so I'll have to check that with his teacher lol.

Items Used
Scalloped card blank - Craftwork Cards
Pre-coloured image - LOTV
Papers - LOTV
Sentiment stamps & matching dies - Whimsy
Snowflakes - MS punch
Card candy - Craftwork Cards
Blue thread from my stash

Off for a little blog catch up, while I've got a spare few minutes... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

**Don't forget to enter my candy HERE - it ends tomorrow**
