Less is More - a sketch

Hello everyone :o)

There's a fab sketch by Jen at Less is More this week... I've got lots of ideas so hopefully I'll be back later in the week with more creations, but here are my first ones...

Apologies for the dreadful photos - both cards are made with the exact same white linen cardstock, but you'd never know it from these pics!

Sentiments - computer generated using Pharmacy font

('fan-tache-tic' pun came from a sentiment included in the set)

Buttons - Papermania

I cut the images out, popped them up on foam pads and glossy accented them, but you can't really tell from the pics.  I cut the fishtails on the sentiments using the corner of my Stampin' Up square punch, and all the paper edges have been distressed.

Today's card is a fairly quick one using a pre-coloured image from the Jack, Patch & Puss art pad from LOTV... I bought a few of these pads as it seems like a great way to get lots of different images to use quickly.  I haven't bothered with the sketch pads though, as I only use one type of card to colour on so I'm not sure how well they'd work for me.

We've left poor Boris (the kitten) at the vets this evening, as he's being neutered in the morning... it seems very quiet, and a lot less chaotic without him!  Will be glad when he's all done and then we can start introducing him to the outside world!

Less is More - a film...

So... I'm trying to join in with Less is More as often as I can, so even though the challenge is to be inspired by a film (one of my dreaded themes, along with inspiration photos!...) I've had a go... and it's one-layer week too!

Monsters Inc is one of my favourite films - and I don't even have the children as an excuse, because I saw it at the cinema when I was expecting my first son lol... Oh well, I like kids films, and now I get to watch them all the time and blame it on the boys :o)  This fab monster from Pollycraft (now closed... sob!) always reminded me of Sully, so it made my card fairly easy really.

CAS Sympathy...

For me, sympathy cards just have to be CAS... I don't like to add too much 'stuff', simple feels better to me... of course this is just my opinion!

I got the idea for this one on Pinterest - the flowers are stamped with clear Versamark ink for a subtle effect.

Oh dear, I'm sooo late with this post - apologies to the lovely ladies at ABC Challenges, as I should have posted this yesterday!  I was very happy to be asked to be Guest Designer for this week's challenge, which is 'pink, blue & green'...
